Wah Ying House in South Somerset

Recently ordered had to wait 2 hours fir delivery. Ended up making 8 calls and was told each time its on it way. When finally arrived was very cross but just got sarcastic remarks. Will not be ordering again

Appalling service ordered at 6:45 and received no order phoned then at 8 to be told it was sat on the side waiting for driver to collect it I asked for a refund as waited along enough and wouldn’t receive it until 8:30, she said she would refund me then at 9:20 there was knock at the door with a driver with our order who delivers a order nearly 2 and half a hours late we sent him away as already had tea after such a long wait.

They have got my last 2 orders wrong and tonight gave my order to someone else. Chips were under cooked and tasted awful. The owner is really rude. Won't be using them again.

Disappointing.. always use them as our Chinese takeaway. Placed an order for collection which was delivered, came home after attempting to collect to wet and cold food chucked on my door step and most of my order missing. Wah Ying then wouldn’t send a whole new order, just the items that were missing. Refused to refund me the delivery charge (after ordering a collection and driving in to collect!!!)and we’re rather unhelpful when trying to resolve. Will not be ordering from again!!

Food was cold and disgusting. Stinks in the waiting area, the place really isn't clean, you can see that by looking in any corner of the room. Low rating on Google, and I agree with this. Find ANY other Chinese.

One of the only Chinese we will order from now, as others have changed to cheaper meat and you can taste the difference. Delicious food 😋

The food was disappointing, ribs was so salty it could cut your liver. Thai fried rice was white rice in coconut(THAT ISNT THIA DRIED RICE!!!!). My £16 is literally in the bin.

We moved to the area last year and have now ordered chinese from here twice. First time was for a big birthday gathering and all food was delicious - all 8 of us really enjoyed it. There was so much it kept us going for a few days. Second time 5 of us and all enjoyed. All food was really tasty and the large spring/pancake rolls are the best I have had. Full of bean sprouts. We had set meals for 3 and extra single chow mein dishes. All were good. We will definately use again. They even deliver to our small village near Sherborne and food was piping hot on arrival. Delivery time was good too.

Don't bother with the Thai red curry and Thai rice. Not quite sure how they can sell this dish as Thai !.. Having eaten real Thai red curries and Thai rice in Thailand , this is sold incorrectly. Basically a curry sauce over the ingredients..as for the Thai rice be carefull of the large lumps of crystallized sugar, enough to crack a tooth. Dishes also tasted like they had been reheated..won't be ordering from again.

We have been ordering here now for almost three years maybe longer! All was fine we order the same thing which is a small order that comes to £13 the last three times have been terrible, I rang to explain this, explained I wanted to order tonight but didn’t want to waste my money or get ill again! But instead of offering a repeat customer, some kind of apology or discount I was told NO the girl on the phone was very polite, when she explained “very briefly “ to the owner my issue, she asked my address and said NO nothing more nothing less! So not only have they lost a good regular customer I am leaving this review!The noodles were off as were the mushrooms, another time the chicken left us on the toilet for two days afterwards. I cannot leave a review on big foodie where I used to order as they no longer use it! I’m quite disgusted how the owner dealt with this! If I was asking for all three meals to be refunded I’d understand but I wasnt! Nothing of the sort. Two more reviews will be left, as two others also got ill from their food! I was told I have to ring the evening I got the food, how if we were not ill to the next day!? I left notes on my next two orders after the first time but apparently they don’t see this which is shocking seeing as this is also allergy information! Very disappointing when I’ve never complained or had issues in the three plus years we have used them. Time to find a new takeaway! I will also be leaving my review on Just eat! So if you do get ill from their food please know they won’t help no matter how much of a returning/loyal customer you are unless of course you are physic and know you will be ill before becoming ill! No hard feelings to the receptionist, only the owner and whomever is serving, out of date food! I will also be reporting to health and safety!
