Some of the best takeaway fish and chips I have ever eaten. They are cooked fresh to order and both the fish and the chips are high quality. The standard portions are very generous giving excellent value for money. Crisp batter and crisp chips that don’t go limp before you get them home. They have created a Covid safe environment with calm professionalism and efficient procedures. At times you have to wait but this is because they cook everything fresh with nothing sitting ‘keeping warm’I happily drive the 5 miles from Bruton for my Friday treat and go towards the end of the session when it gets less busy. Recently they have ensured all their packaging is paper based and recyclable by selling sturdy paper carrier bags for 10p which can be reused.

Best fish and chips in town, never disappoints, the battered sausages are delicious, the fish is always tasty and the chips are cooked to perfection.

Popped in here on the way home to fuel the children before the long stretch to London. The gentleman who served us was polite and efficient which was a good first impression. It's on the one way system on your right hand side. We found spaces to park outside the school just passed it.A small take-away only place. They do a range of food you'd expect from a chippie as well as some of the more non-stereotypical. The four of us had 3 portions of chips, 2 cod, 1 x nuggets and 1 x chicken strips - £18.50. Not bad at all. It was quite busy even before 6 pm though the people never seemed to be waiting long. Being busy was a great sign of a good place.The food was freshly prepared, the nuggets were proper chicken pieces as were the strips. The cod was excellent with a light batter. The chips were good though could have done with more salt and vinegar but maybe that's just me.Definitely recommend the place - 2-3 min from the A303 and you can drop your rubbish in one of the supermarket bins on the way back to the main road.
