A very enjoyable visit to see the horses and ponies there and 2 cheeky mules!!

We had a super time here even though it pelted down while we were out and about, so much for flaming June it was more like an April deluge. We squelched into the restaurant to be met by lovely lady with a welcoming towel, so much drier (but still wet) we settled down to a delicious lunch. Afterwards we said hello to the wonderful equine again, defo coming back again 😊

You can't not love these guys for rescuing horses. I'm not a fanatic horse lover, but i do like being around them and the calmness they bring to you. We went here and my horse loving girls loved seeing the horses that were being rescued and rehabilitated. The staff were super friendly and really helped us to learn about what Horse Welfare do. You can walk around certain parts of the farm, but all the horses were in the top paddocks that you can't access on the day we went. There is a cafe however just the basics on offer. There's a massive indoor arena and they had horses being trained which made my girls super happy to see. Don't expect to rock up and take a rescued pony/ horse home - most can never be ridden again but they make great additions to your family. There's a room downstairs that sells second hand horse gear, saddles, bridles, tacks, bits, lead ropes all at pretty damn good prices - i know because my girls bought heaps of horse things they needed. They rely heavily on donations so if you've got a spare fiver, maybe you could help feed a horse for a few days. Definitely worthy of a trip to see what they're doing, great for grandparents or people in wheelchairs. Rug up with winter woolies if you go on a winters day like we did

We took our little girl here and she was very excited to see the horses, She got to stroke 2 of the horses, Unfortunately we didn't see as many horses as we'd of liked too, however, majority of them were away as it was raining and cold which we didn't expect bad weather & a lot were new in isolation/rehabilitation. The receptionists were lovely, children under 5 go free, 2 adults only cost £6 which is great.The cafe was lovely, Amazing coffee and cakes. We were allowed to have a peak at the horse performance arena even though it was shut, we got to see it. The pond/wildlife walk was lovely, very relaxing, and tranquil. I'd recommend here, a good day trip out if you love horses.

Lovely, peaceful place for a short walk with benches around a little pond as well. Playground for children and cafe for refreshments

Well worth a visit. Staff are very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The horses have a lot of space to be nursed back to health. Dog friendly, just keep them on a lead (only place dogs can't go is in the Coffee shop). Coffee shop was lovely, really nice food and coffee (highly recommend) there is a picnic area so you can bring your own. Parking is free as is entry donations are more than welcome. There is a small gift shop and a second hand tack shop.

We went here on 15th April 2017, a very good place to visit.The cafe was very good, very tasty and wonderful food.The farm is open 5 days a week, between 11am to 4pm.An excellent place to go and have a nice walk around looking at the horses 👍👍.
