Bengal Balti in Stroud

This place has slowly become our regular over the past year or so, and we've never looked back. The food is delicious, always piping hot, and packed well. The staff are always efficient and polite, the place is clean and respected covid measures whilst they were in full force.If that's not enough to convince you to try them or keep going back, they occasionally throw in some food on the house. They seem to love their customers as much as we love them. (:

The best Indian takeaway we've had in years

Takeaway for 11 people collected. Very hot, tasted great, decent portions, pretty much ready on time on a busy Friday night. Recommended.

Decided to write a new review, the Bengal Balti is without a doubt the best in the valleys. Great portions and nice fresh ingredients. Very consistent and well priced. 100 % recommended

Just had my first curry from here and it was absolutely fantastic. Been to alot of places and this was bang on with everything. Madras was just right with the heat and sauce. Will be coming back again.

I don't know whether they have a new chef because I went the a while ago and it was pretty average however, the last 3 times we've been the food has been exceptional. Also good sized portions. Has become my regular once again.

20 Jan 2020 Update.Have been back a couple of times recently and my rating has now changed to 5*.Really helpful staff, food back to a very good standard. They will even modify dishes to my taste, excellent.Frequent user, but the quality and standard of food is gradually going down hill, possibly a change of ownership over approximately 6 to 9 months.

I had a good meal from here a while ago, however, I have read that their latest hygiene score was a 1! I thought I should update my review to make people aware of the dirty practices of people serving food. Not acceptable.

Just down here in Stroud for a weekend break and staying over in Selsley. Decided on a takeaway tonight and ordered by phone. Collected order at the time asked and it was delicious. Piping hot and loads of it. Can't eat much in the way of spicey food so we ordered korma. Highly recommend this place!!!

To start the food was terrible and cold. My partner is severely allergic to peanuts so therefore we make sure we order portions that are peanut free, however 5 minutes into eating he started reacting to the food. I decided to call them back to make them aware that he has had a reaction and I was told that I should use different restaurants rather than using them again to stop number of complaints!! I was appalled at the customer service i received and when I mentioned the food was cold I was told it was because of the cold weather. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone and if you have a nut allergy I would be VERY careful.
