Bengal Lounge in Stroud

You know what it's like. You're out of town and don't know which curry house to trust, and you know it'll never measure up to your favourite back home.Well the Bengal Lounge was definitely up to the job. I used the takeaway service for me and my Mrs and we weren't disappointed. Would've been nice if the cauliflower bhaji had been done with ghee but that's only my preference. Restaurant owner was nice and friendly and although we didn't eat in, the restaurant seemed clean and bright.Definitely recommend.

**Avoid this restaurant if you have allergies** My boyfriend made a simple request to have an ingredient removed that he is allergic to and they did not do this, there were pieces of it visible in the dish. He accidentally ate some before he realised, and he is now ill. To make matters worse the waiter accused him of lying about his allergy, suggesting it was simply a preference. And the food was mediocre anyway.

A birthday treat and first time try for us with Bengal Lounge. Absolutely faultless, helpful phone staff,food was ist class, delivery spot on, can't praise enough, we will definitely be ordering again, thank you Bengal Lounge. Perfect.

Lovely dinner, friendly welcoming staff, good value for money: lamb Biriani £12.95, Deshi chicken £8.95, special rice £3.95, gin & tonic and 1 pint of lemonade £9.55.

Excellent food - we've been trying different things from the menu and they have all been delicious. Delivery service is outstanding :)
