An excellent amenity and coffee house, with a convivial atmosphere, fine coffee, delicious cake, offering somewhere to just sit and chill/read a newspaper, or indeed one of literally hundreds of books, or to browse the internet, or, indeed, occasionally to listen to music!

Second hand book for £1.50 and the most relaxed coffee ever. The ham and egg bagel was easily worth every penny.

This coffee shop has a lovely atmosphere, the interior being surrounded by bookshelves filled with books. As you look out, there is a lovely view of Stroud's traditional buildings. I am not a fan of very strong coffee and the latte I drank there was an outstanding cup of coffee. I also enjoyed sitting ona very comfortable sofa. I look forward to going there again.

Dog and child friendly, but haven't had much luck eating there. Twice it was closed (despite saying it was open on google), and the third time there was only one member of staff working, who wasn't serving breakfast from the normal menu. Will keep trying though as the menu looks fantastic!

Good coffee, chilled vibe, great but unobtrusive music and a filling plate of well made food (could have been warmer though hence the 4 stars). Will be back

What lovely about about this place is that truly feel relaxed here, your surroundings are books, games and records and nice people also its a mish mash of different tables and chairs which gives this place its beautiful charm, love going there with wife and dog xx

This is a chilled out café. It is normally quiet here so a good place for a chat. It's one of our favourites in Stroud.

Coffee & Cake With A Difference: recently discovered this chilled and relaxed cool corner of Stroud, surrounded by books games and puzzles, child friendly and unpretentious. serve breakfast, brunch and lunch alngside waffles. prices seem very reasonable especially compared with the non tax paying big boys. look out for the weekly deals!
