Offers all you can eat breakfast with real value for money and really close the Stratford Park with lake which was lovely.

Enjoyed a cheeky lunch out with my hubby here. Two meals for £8.99 is a great deal! Staff very friendly & nice relaxing atmosphere, even though it was very busy with families with children as it was half term!

Went for Sunday lunch and greeted by a staff member wearing a food spattered apron who pointed to an available table (not overly busy) not even a smile given. Waited ages to even order a drink and having ordered a Sunday roast, the "pigs in blankets" arrived halfway through eating our meal. Quality of food was good, chef was cheery, but remainder of staff team looked like they wanted to finish their shift early and never cracked a smile, poor ambience. No disrespect intended, I did not expect 5 star service, but expected better than a poor grade wetherspoons service. Please improve.

Was looking forward to this as great reviews and tough week, however the meat was running out, only gammon and beef left (very small amounts and cold) the vegetables were cold and , no gravy and sauces running down. The server off chatting with his friend at the bar. Only saving grace was the lady waiting the tables was great at her job. The carvery had great reviews so it was surprising.

Stayed here for three nights with family whilst attending a wedding locally. First appearance was quite nice. Reception staff really helpful with everything asked of them, gave my wife and I maps of the local area to help us with our site seeing. Food very nice, drinks reasonably priced. Me being an early riser I was able to nip next door to tesco and get a paper, made very welcome by Clare, morning staff, kept me in good conversation, not just lip service. Would I stay here again the answer is definitely.Tesco also have a petrol station. Out of hotel, fill up with snacks, drinks and petrol. Job done.

After a sumptuous breakfast, we are now finishing off with a coffee. This is one of our favourite spots to eat.The food is great and there is no issue as to quantity, from the big eater to the one with a Sparrow’s appetite, everyone is satisfied. The choice is vast, covering all dietary wants. And last, but definitely not least is the warm welcome and friendly atmosphere of the place, made so by the lovely ladies working here.A big mention to our favourite, Claire who is attentive and always at hand to do what she can to accommodate and make our stay a joy.Other eateries could learn a lot from these ladies philosophy.

Haven't been to the Nelson for a few years. Went for Sunday Carvery. Table booked for 14:00. Friendly welcome and offered menus, colouring in for the kids. Gave us time to settle and the took our drinks order. Drinks came quickly, gave us some more time and ordered food. Kids had Pizza, chips, all piping hot. Adults had Carvery which was very nice and hot. Parsnips & Stuffing could have been a bit crisper but that's my preference. All in all it was a great meal and would definitely go back, sooner this time.

This was a great Brewers Fayre experience with good quality food on our visit (better than other restaurants in the chain have been to recently). The staff were friendly & helpful, a lovely location opposite the scenic Stratford Park, decent sized car park and set in an impressive building, at least compared to the more usual modern ones that the chain normally occupy. If you like visiting Brewers Fayre then this one is recommended!

Good food cooked perfectly. Friendly staff. Minimal wait for food. Can not fault the service we received tonight. Recommended for a visit

All you can eat for £8.99 and kids go free, so considering this price, for two breakfast and drinks, it was an absolute bargain.Due to Covid, it is table service, I believe it is normally buffet style, and there were only three servers, a fourth came on later as we were leaving. Therefore, the service was a little slow, but not bad enough to get annoyed. The staff were friendly, genuinely apologetic for the wait, and no-one seemed to be complaining as you could see how busy they were.Food tasted nice, I would certainly go again.
