After trying some pretty great ramen around the world Tomari-Gi was a strong contender. Simple ramen but that’s how it’s meant to be. Big bowls served at decent prices full of flavor Tomari-Gi is a great place to end or start a night. Will be back when in the UK.

What can I say to keep it simple....? We loved this place! The sort of bistro that is common in London, so a big thank you for opening in Stroud. We will be back. And it's only a 15 minute walk from Five Valleys Aparthotel too, so some of our guests may head your way too.

Don’t come here if you have food allergies.The menu doesn’t mention anything about dairy products. And for a Japanese Theme restaurant, we didn’t expect any dairy products to be used in preparation or during cooking. But our dairy allergy boy got a severe delayed reaction from eating here requiring A&E visit. They clearly have cross contaminate food in the kitchen. So be ware.Lastly the quality of food isn’t good. Not sure how people can give such high rating for what is an average at best standard. McD is better.

I’m a busy Mum of two infants and I don’t have much time on my hands but I absolutely had to take five to sit down and give Tomari-Gi some credit for being an absolutely wonderful place. When these guys had just started up, I was very sick with my second pregnancy and they delivered my ramen to my door during lockdown. Since then, we have been in to eat and I was blown away by how good the food was. We had sushi, fried chicken and ramen; all so fresh, filling and tasty. The staff were lovely and the vibe was friendly and relaxed. They were also very family friendly. I am loathe to recommend these guys as I don’t want them to get swamped but credit where credit is due!! Just remember to think ahead now as they are getting busier - good luck to them, we hope to see them everywhere! X

Food is amazing. Some interesting drinks too. Donburi and Ramen are ready faster, but Sushi and fried chicken takes more time. Staff are a cheerful bunch, kitchen tiny and hectic. Easy 5*

Our favourite!!! Amazing food…we have a bit of an obsession with Tomari Gi! We’ve eaten most things on the menu and always impressed with the quality, taste and the service. Such lovely people who run and work there! They always go over and beyond to make sure we get our order! Really authentic sushi…you struggle to find such good sushi anywhere in the uk! Please keep doing what you’re doing 🙏

A proper authentic ramen place! The pork miso ramen is my favorite. The staff are friendly and professional. Totally recommended!

What a find!! Would consider a weekend in Stroud again just to eat here. Woukd definatly detour off the M5 for lunch or dinner.Make a booking. Ask for a table. If they say they're full....Beg! Its delicious. Its healthy. It's not pretentious and it's casual. Its one of the nicest meals I've had in quite a while.
