Walked in and the member of staff (Shirley) served us, she had a attitude however I didn’t think anything of it. I asked for a iced coffee with coconut milk and syrup x2 with crushed ice. She put the order through but then said no you want a frappe and I said no just crushed ice.I explained it was for a dietary requirement and that I just needed ice, coconut milk, coffee and syrup. She then complained I said the wrong order and I wanted a frappe, I explained again and she confirmed my order. She made a huge fuss having to void the original and re enter the order. She spoke in a condescending tone ( repeating my words with a childishly voice) when I explained it was dairy free order.I paid for my 3 coffees as she was shouting at the other member of staff, she then made my order and put the powder in it, to which I said no I didn’t want that as it may have an allergen which I didn’t request.I re explained to her what I order originally was how I needed it to be made as it’s for a dietary requirement as shouted shouted at me. My friend then said just cancel the order, as it was upsetting her so much. This staff member was so rude and disrespectful, she clearly doesn’t understand how to treat people as well as not understanding allergens which is a mayor red flag.I emailed Costa about this visit, however I don’t think they understood how dangerous it can be if someone had an item which causes an allergic reaction.

The service is not good at all. Firstly, we ordered two cappuccinos and one iced latte, as a result they gave us three cappuccinos. Secondly, we needed to eat cakes from the bags not from a plates as in usual cafes. Thirdly, the cappuccinos were with more water taste than coffee taste. Fourthly, they have a dirty kitchen and waste above the trashcan, where the sugar and wood sticks are. But the cakes were good enough.

Everybody who works here is so friendly and hardworking. Such a shame about the staff shortages, puts pressure on them as they’re doing multiple jobs at once and trying to please customers, who are often unhappy after waiting in a queue or so long

Fine place to grab a coffee and enjoy the sunshine day

Costa coffee is generally good that's why I gave it more than half. But sometimes its really hit and miss. Although you can't go wrong with the pannis as they are really tasty. Usually good. The pastries are tasty although a little pricey. I was really disappointed last time I went in. I bought 3 seasonal festive hot chocolates to share. And all they did was do hot chocolate and add a splash of a bottled sauce on top. And after I left the shop was told I was supposed to be given a chocolate of the hot chelated flavour I bought (2 quality streets and one chocolate orange) but I never got them which frustrated me

Very good coffee! Fantastic location for a barista, in the almost ancient town of Stroud. The buildings around Costa are amazing too with the shambles market, the old fire station, town hall and court house right next door and some of the original town houses which are about 400 years old! It's an amazing place to stop for a coffee. I definitely recommend a visit if you've never been, just to see the beauty and history of the old town buildings.

Usually very nice, but it's the first time that service wasn't very nice. Prices are ever so high too, which is a shame. I still look forward to be able to sit for drink again hopefully soon.

Good tasting coffee. Some but limited food choices for vegan (good enough for a coffee- the cookie is nice). Choice of milks is good. 25p off now for your own cup- much appreciated. Almost always seating even when busy. Can be big queues but well managed by staff- its just a busy place. Kept up together as well as the next place cleaning wise. Staff are very friendly.

Used to be brilliant service in here but the new staff lately don't seem as with it. Understanding of them being slightly busy and rushed, even though there weren't that many customers- the whole atmosphere was very harassed and still took 20 minutes in a queue before getting served. Lots of tables left dirty too. Other branches of Costa are far better at handling busy periods.
