Egypt Mill Hotel and Restaurant in Stroud

First time visiting here and won't be the last, the food was exceptional, all tasted fresh and full of flavour. The setting over the mill pond is beautiful, perfect for a summers evening with friends, family or just on your own. Would highly recommend. I had, salt and pepper squid, paprika chicken and chocolate mousse cake. Each course was lovely. Make sure to pay a visit to this little gem.

Beautiful location with excellent food which we had a chance to use multiple times in past, however our last visit did not gave us positive experience. Bar staff did not know what they are doing and location of tables … also it took long time to receive ordered ice creams. Definitely room for improvement in relation to customer service skills of bar staff.

Beautiful location, great place to stay and excellent value for money. We also had drinks and food in the restaurant, which was all excellent quality!Staff were friendly and always on hand to help.Breakfast was fast and superb quality.... Will definitely be returning and recommending to others!

We went to my Grandsons wedding here in April this year. I must say it was amazing, everyone were more than helpful the staff were very attentive couldn’t ask for more. Accommodation was brilliant food was really lovely. If your planning a wedding you won’t find better.

Absolutely fantastic place. It is a converted mill with a great atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and polite. There is a lovely interesting bar serving a wide range of drinks, a restaurant serving quality food and there are a number of super, spacious bedrooms to stay over. It is also a wedding venue. Outside there are large seating areas overlooking the river and quaint mill pond. Egypt mill is situated in a lovely village with a few pubs and restaurants.

Fabulous place even the dog was made very welcome. We attended a function from mid afternoon to evening the service from staff was amazing from the check in with the very friendly and welcoming Nicky to the bar staff for the day Gracie and Lauren the food was of superb standard loved the truffle and mushrooms or truffle and muffle as I now renamed them! The Bar had a great selection of drinks. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable loved that there were sufficient pillows I usually have to ask for extra but not here so we’ll done. The view over the garden and of the water was exceptional I didn’t want to leave!

The building and surroundings are gorgeous. Its on a river! With bridges to outdoor seating areas and old timely street lamps to light the way at night.Rooms are clean and have views of the river.Breakfast is actually good with vegan and veggie optionsMenu at night keeps the place busy even throughout winter.

Celebration of a 10 year wedding anniversary.A warm welcoming hotel with the finest hospitality from the staff (Nicky) the moment you enter the building. Very clean rooms offering the comfort from home. A huge mention to the bar staffs Gracie & Lauren as the went the extra mile to make the night amazing!Also we bought our dog along as the hotel offers a dog friendly welcome.I would highly recommend Eygpt Mill & looking forward to our next stay!!

Fantastic hotel! I am Italian and I love UK, this Hotel embodies the soul of England. Fantastic location, spacious rooms with a rustic touch. Excellent cuisine in the restaurant inside. In the evening, the location of the Hotel has a magical atmosphere. As soon as I am around here, I will definitely be back.

Lovely old converted fabric mill serving great food and nice local beers. Excellent family-friendly outdoor seating area next to the duck-filled mill pond, with live music and an awesome grill serving steaks and burgers in summer time. Many tables are under cover, too, which is handy for unpredictable British weather.The inside has been restored beautifully and a nice feature are the original water wheels, which are lit up and visible through glass walls.The first place we take people to when they come to visit.
