Fantastic ye olde world proper country pub. Great atmosphere and fantastic hostess. Very positive LGBTQI+ and welcoming warm atmosphere

Earthy village pub. Popped in for Sunday lunch with our 2 dogs. Good atmosphere with friendly staff and customers. Wholesome food . Great beer, so says hubby! Very pleasant on a rainy Sunday.

Traditional untouched Devon pub, literally like stepping back in time! Huge inglenook fireplace, years and years of use, completely original. Food all home cooked and very tasty, super friendly landlady. Great evening!

Small pub in the middle of a small village.Very traditional.Toilets are....... rustic at best but the place is well kept and I can imagine that warmer, drier evening's are a delight in the beer garden.Very friendly and helpful landlord.Sadly they don't do food on a Friday and so we did not stay.Otherwise I would have had more to say.I remain curious as to why they have a heavy artillery piece in the car park.

We found this wonderful pub by accident one day in May this year. A friend came over from Australia and we thought it would be a perfect place to take her for lunch as it is such a wonderfully old English pub - the kind you just don't find anywhere else. We had the fish of the day - it was truly excellent. Great fun and friendly staff and welcoming locals - a real treat - thank you!

An excellent pub worth seeking out for great food and ale from the barrels behind the bar. A perfect example of a rural pub which we are fast losing. The open fire compliments the friendly owners and locals making a great atmosphere.
