Old FLying Club Cafe in Stroud

Stopped out of curiosity after seeing the 'Cafe' signs. The coffee and cakes were really good and there's a really wide choice of snacks. For anyone interested in gliding a great place to spend some time!

Nice decor, loafs of history with old flying/ gliding poster around the room.Nice to see a good selection of foods on the menu which is all prepped on site and cooked fresh as requested.Hot and cold drinks to choose from.Great service with very clean amenities.

Watch gliders taking off and landing or if you are feeling adventurous they will be delighted to take you up for a flight. It doesn't cost much and I plan to have a go. Today we just enjoyed the good coffee and toasted sandwich. It was bitingly cold outside but the cafe and the welcome was warm.

Nice welcome stop. Driving after visiting Coaley Peak, saw sign CAFE next right. Turned into drive. Sat outside as really warm sunny day and had a nice pot of tea each.Very reasonable priced. Plus got two cups each out the pot.Also entertainment watching gliders going up. We'll worth a visit.People on next table was tucking into carrot cake,and more.Summer here it comes.Richard

This little cafe is so very far out of the way - I stopped in for a coffee here, and it was a really nice strong filter coffee. It was very quiet in here to start with, but then a couple of other people arrived and considering I visited during the day in September they seemed busy after that. Nice serving staff too. (They also serve food here, and I noticed bottles of wine behind the counter)

I absolutely love this place. Hands down the best breakfast I've ever had. But the choice is far from limited, with new items on the menu regularly. The staff are amazing and really brighten up my day. Located near an incredible viewpoint, so an ideal spot in that sense.

Had a gliding lesson here today, and it was amazing. The team were all friendly and knowledgeable, and I felt completely safe with Christophe, my instructor. Would definitely recommend.

Flying visit (excuse the pun) with a group of friends. Had coffee and cake but unfortunately the cake was so solid I couldn't stomach it. However I'm sure the other options would be fine.

Had a lovely light lunch, good value for money Staff very friendly. Will definitely be going back

Excellent food and drink selection, brilliant location on the side of an airfield, beautiful garden. Only suggestion would be to get milkshakes and smoothies on the menu!
