The best gluten free fish and chips on first Tuesday of the month which is fab with 3 celiacs in my house they can still enjoy what normal people take for granted

Excellent freshly cooked to order, cod,chips and mushy peas, a takeaway with separate eating room which was clean and pleasant. Batter light and tasty, chips thick , and like home made . Superb .

The best fish and chips I’ve ever had in my life. So fresh and tasty. The staff are brilliant. I particularly like the chef who sings at the top of his lungs like he’s on xfactor. It makes the food taste even better. 10/10 would recommend. Love to the owner.

First time trying Simpsons in Stroud as there was a big queue at Big Fish, ordered, cod, chips and curry sauce, had to wait a l while as they seemed busy with phone orders. Food seemed a bit over packaged but engaging,Got home, piece of fish in one box and regular portion of chips in the other - no curry sauce, didn’t fancy driving back to rectify, so a bit disappointed. Fish batter was light and crispy, but surprisingly oily, and fish crumbled to bits, no big succulent flakes (like big fish) ..chips were average, but overdone and not exactly a generous portion, very little salt and vinegar used, all in all a bit disappointing, especially with not getting order right, nice packaging but can’t eat the box! Had hoped for better. Next time Big Fish!

The opening of Simpsons Gloucester had more hype around it than the recent Super Bowl so naturally I was rather looking forward to tucking into a delicious portion of chippy chips.I was asked what size portion I would like and trying not too look to greedy I chose a regular.When I was presented with the tiny box I thought to myself that they must’ve given me a child’s portion. I questioned the size and was told that it was indeed a regular.Now I know times are hard but I didn’t realise we were back on rationing! Ignoring the tiny size (suit you Sir) I uttered the famous words “quality of quantity” so I tucked inEven more disappointment followed. I had read reviews of how amazing the chips were and frankly they were nothing special at all. Over cooked and rather bland.

Absolutely love getting food from here - the vegan options are delicious and it is so good that my family and I can enjoy a chippy tea! The staff are always so cheery and welcoming and it is such a lovely place to go.
