The Butchers Arms in Stroud

Food was well priced, location is wonderful, although parking is limited. Service was friendly and inviting. The food and drink were both to a very high standard. The whole family really enjoyed our visit!

Had a couple of great meals here. Staff are always helpful and very friendly. Never seem to be just going through the motions, they genuinely chat and show they care. Great food. Parents came away pleased so that makes me happy!!

Really lovely country pub, quality food with lots of choice, good beer and a nice fire. Great for a stop off on a walk. If you want to eat, book a table as it gets very busy

I enjoyed a good landscape travelling to Butchers Arms. The building was also pleasant and cozy, homely decorated. The food was good, I enjoyed a beef roast. However the customer service could be improved: A smile is always welcoming, staring at people so they rush, does not do the trick, and not even thanking people for the visit in the end... c'mon...

A 5 star food experience. Hands down the best pie I have ever had and no mistake. Each meal for our party of six was exceptional. Top marks to the chef, the staff and owner. As Arnie said " I'll be back".

A really lovely pub in the heart of The Cotswolds, which I visited with my family for Christmas 2021. Nice friendly staff, a lovely countryside setting, and a great traditional pub feel and great food / drinks! We had a very nice time. Thank-you. :)

Delicious pub lunch - had the pie of the day which was beef and stilton and didn't have any space for dinner later in the day. Amazing views. Good selection of beers on tap and friendly staff. The flyer of local walks on their website was very helpful - we did the Cotswolds Way which was very enjoyable.

The Butchers Arms is a delightful country pub. The pub and it's garden is beautiful, the staff were welcoming (and know their beer!) and the food was delicious. As we had been shielding we took a table outside and were particularly appreciative of how seriously they took covid safety. If only we lived more locally we'd be back again soon.
