Great best fish and chips friendly

Despite all the reviews to the contrary which must be from the owners of the the other chip shops in Stonehouse, this place is the best. We always compare other chip shops around the country to this one in Stonehouse and this one always wins. Huge chips (one small bag is enough for two) and good quality food. Some of the other reviews are just ridiculous, they must be thinking of some other place.

You get a huge quantity of chips for a £2.50 standard size portion!! Good chips, though I prefer them a little crispier. Wrapped in paper rather than single-use plastics. Was there just before 12midday and it was very quiet. Very clean. Recommended in Stonehouse.

Chips were just a wet pile of mush, the Cod was okay but the Batter was soft. I will not be going back.

Usually use this as my favourite local chippy. Dropped in this evening about 8:30 for fish and chips and was a little disappointed. Fish seemed quite thin and not so chunky as normal and the chips were much greasier than usual. That said, the fish and chips were extremely tasty. The chips here always have a lovely potato flavour not found anywhere else. Hopefully just a one off hiccup. Will be back again soon!

Grim food from here. The food in the display looked old, cold, and unappetising. The chips were about okay but that was due to liberal amounts of salt and vinegar.The price is on the high side with better quality food for a lower price being available just 3 minutes up the road from another chip shop.

Just by looking into the Proprietors eyes, listening to his tone of voice and watching his general body language will tell you that you the customer are just an irritant to him. Blunt and rude. I travelled 7 miles to purchase from his shop but as there are two other shops between him and me this will be my first and last visit. Anyone who is self employed needs to study this guy and learn to do the exact opposite to ensure good customer service. The Nippy Chippy up the road has a much better (Or Batter!) Google review.

Popped in for a bag of chips to share with my wife, was initially ignored, I asked for the chips to be open but I don't think I was heard so I asked again, this seemed to massively put the server out who roughly threw them into a tray tutting. What I saw in the tray looked awful; a greasy, oily homogenous mass of dark brown sludge. I said 'they don't look very nice, I've changed my mind thanks'. Immediately the server called me a tw#t; great customer service I think not. Avoid this place like the plague.Found a great bag of chips just up the road and the service was great.
