The Hog at Horsley in Stroud

Was driving past and stoped for a bite to eat. Although if the menu wasn’t huge the food was very well prepared and very good value for money. In some ways it’s lucky we don’t live near as the wife would have to drag me out most days. The staff were very friendly and welcoming

We had a lovely Saturday night here. Booking as a stag party group, you expect places to be justifiably a little cautious with you, however well behaved you might be. But we were welcomed warmly to our table in the lovely covered outdoor area, and throughout the evening felt completely at home. The food was great, there was fab live music, and both the team behind the bar and regulars were keen to chat and congratulate the groom-to-be. If I lived locally, I'd be here all the time.

Second nighty in a row at the local pub The hog, just down the road from our air bnb, we turned up in search of a cheeky lighter and a wine and ended up having a belting game of darts. Luke the manger wasn’t as good as he made out, my friend Shannon thrashed him but he’s up fro a game so come on down. Saw the pizza on the menu and planned to come down tonight for it, so cheesy and full of flavour, and a bargain price couldn’t fault it. Lovely staff and family pub x

Amazing Sunday Roast. I had brisket which melted in the mouth. Veggie options available. Followed by chocolate brownies to die for! Owners are always welcoming and friendly. The outdoor seating is also great with heaters if needed.

AMAZING FOOD- THE BEST SUNDAY ROASTS IN THE AREA!this was our first time visiting this pub having lived in the area for 21 years. SRG catering cook the roasts every Sunday and having heard amazing things from the quality of food, we thought we would give them a try. Staff at the pub were very nice, knew what they were doing and everything ran really smooth. Having somebody greet you at the door these days is very rare and created a high expectation of the service throughout. The gentleman very professional and welcoming. I decided to use the app to order the drinks and the value for money was great compared to other pubs in the area. There was no waiting round for drinks, and the price and quality of food was amazing! We will definitely be returning!!

The best local pub with excellent food and lovely, welcoming atmosphere. Have always felt that they take covid restrictions seriously but also manage to have a system which still feels very easy and friendly.We've been to a few special food nights with our family (3 kids between 4 and 8) and we've loved it. Great place to go as a family and also as a bunch of friends. The loaded chips are to die for too.Could not recommend more!!Oh and they have some great local beers and a good gin choice too!!!

I couldn't recommend highly enough. Attended here on our one night away. We got a taxi down to the hog and they didn't have any tables. We explained we are not from around here, just got a taxi down and they managed to get to together a table and chairs for us. Lovely garden, pizzas were really nice and the staff where really bubbly and helpful. The staff at the hog made our night away extra special
