Great local by the looks of it. Best beef lasagna I've had. Pigged out and had both garlic bread and cheesy chips. Perfect and dog friendly pub as well. Please keep them alive people. "Your country needs them."

Had food here tonight with my wife and our 3 young kids after going to Attwoolls Camping store. Was a really really nice little pub with great food. Although it felt like a locals pub with the football on round the corner it was still very friendly. Definitely recommend, our steak was cooked perfectly πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

lovely little place. If your looking for fancy fine dining - then I'd suggest looking elsewhere but if you're looking for big portions of good hearty home made food with a solid friendly pub atmosphere and cheeky weekend feel then definitely pop along. Dog friendly too!

We Order a mixed grill and a jacket potato with mushrooms and cheeseThe meat was all dry and tasteless. No seasoning and the mushrooms were like rubber. The potato was dry and hard. Like it had been reheated from several days previous. We only ate less than a quarter of the meal that cost Β£40Would not go here again for food . Very disappointed.

It's a small village pub in a very old building with very expensive drinks... I'm not sure there's a lot more to say about it without having tried the food! The main thing in its favour is that the bar area looks a bit less like an airport departure lounge than does the nearby Whitminster Inn. There's a little TV up on the wall, and a games machine ominously positioned right where it could annoy absolutely everyone, which thankfully wasn't being used at the time I went in.I very much got a "local pub for local people" vibe, and honestly they're welcome to it. I'm not saying that the patrons would kill and eat you if they thought they could get away with it, but at the same time I'd be very careful not to spill any barbeque sauce on myself if I were ever to visit again.Which, barring a zombie apocalypse and The Old Forge as the only defensible spot I could get to, will never happen.

Just like a old in by the road. Beer cold, food hot . That's it.

Excellent food we had the roast lunch. Rude manager didn't not speak to anyone and certainly didn't lift a finger. All work left to the bar lady. The roast was all fresh vegetables, cosy pub, a proper pub. Shame about the manager.

We pre booked for 18 for a roast dinner, it was lovely, tasty lots of fresh vegetables too. Service was quick we weren't rushed and a warm and friendly atmosphere, highly recommend it, the food, value and ale
