A great find on the way to Cornwall. Rooms are cosy but have everything you need and the bed very comfy. We has food at night which was very good and the breakfast was great and filled us up for the day. Will return

Great country pub. Fantastic service. Lovely beer garden with games to play (table football, table tennis).Food is great quality and also a children's menu available. Only negative was no baby change on the ladies toilets.

Nice old pub with large restaurant extension. We were sat in the old part next to a glowing wood fireplace. Really cosy on a cold windy day. Food was excellent pub grub, see photos.Went there for a birthday celebration, service was good, atmosphere good (though no view from our table). Price a little high, but food quality was in line with pricing, Would recommend.

Love this place such a genuine country vibe to it. Real local ales on tap and friendly staff. This place it a little gem, surrounded by the common for lovely walks with family or the dogs. Recommend to anyone

I visited in October 2021. A very welcome lunch after a great walk on the common. They welcome dogs which is just as well given the location but they really do like to see them. The food was good, I enjoyed the duck with was nice a pink, the skin could have been crisper in my opinion for the price.Dessert was tasty.I really the feel this restaurant has, lots of different rooms so it feels intimate and cosy. Great outdoor space for better weather too. I would recommend booking at the weekends.

Whilst camping at Minchinhampton, we found this lovely pub about a 15 minute walk away. It turned out to be a very comfortable and welcoming establishment. Storm Dudley ending and Eunice on its way. The staff were lovely and the furniture very comfortable. The food looked very nice, we will be back in the summer to see the area at its best.

Warm welcome from staff when visiting for a coffee. I liked the variety of spaces in which to sit, bar area, snug etc. Plenty of space around too. Friendly atmosphere in which to have a cappuccino. Slightly stronger than I'm used to, but very nice.

After being let down by an Airbnb this pub was an amazing find, at last minute. The staff were so kind and accommodating and catered for items you wouldn't usually have with you when going to a hotel vs an self-catering Airbnb.Despite having to check out a day earlier (for personal reasons) we were very happy with our stay and the food was great. Highly recommend.

I have known this pub for over 40 year's, it's been, the Old Lodge, New Lodge and just the Lodge but this is the best phase of its evolution. I moved away from Minchinhampton 25 years ago but now use the Old Lodge to meet family as guaranteed Good food, great location, great staff. Large restaurant or cosy bar....and lovely garden. I would also try sister restaurant The Fleece.

Now I realise that this pub holds the gold standard in steak baguette as well as an idyllic stand alone setting, a lovely interior, attentive staff and a fabulous beer garden practically on Minchinhampton common! If you don’t still do your steak and blue cheese baguette please bring it back, served with any mustard you like! You get the food right because you understand what people want when they go out to eat at a pub. Maybe that’s why you’re always fully booked. Thank you!
