The Olive Tree in Stroud

Excellent little restaurant with friendly staff. Menu a little uninspiring and confusing but food was good and nice atmosphere.

Found this lovely, old building on Saturday . Dogs welcome in the small seated area to the side in a court yard .some tables have umbrellas . Pebble floor so take a dog cushion .Had lovely toasted sandwich and oat milk latte , though there were some lovely homemade cakes ,scones qnd croissants on display too .Quirky old building with upstairs and downstair toilet .A small restaurant is situated upstairs too which seems to offer a tasty evening meal . One or two vegetarian options available.Server said you could book midweek for a weekend spot most times.Staff really friendly qnd accommodating fetching our dog a water bowl on a day which turned out to be very warm.

Fabulous lunch of moussaka and Greek salad. Went back for amazing cooked breakfast next day! Good for gluten free.

There are quite a few great places to eat in Nailsworth. My wife and I are thrilled we chose to eat here at the end of some deliberation.The food was full of flavour, the service was on point.I would highly recommend eating here.

Got there just before the kitchen closed and they were kind enough to seat us. The food was delicious! So many options which can sometimes be a bad sign but everything we ate was very tasty. The atmosphere was very cosy and pleasing and I would be very happy to go back.

A delightful restaurant in the heart of charming Nailsworth. Wonderful staff and management and a cosy, relaxed environment with great food. Highly recommended.

Although lovely in its character, a charming place because of its 450 year old building, and the ambience was nice with the right level of suitable music, I felt there were still things that could improve what could be a super place to dine. The cutlery could have been a bit cleaner but fortunately there were two sets to choose from so a suitable set was chosen to eat with. The food was great and the service most friendly from the waiter which brought a joy to the meal. I came away feeling I had a lovely evening and will be returning again in the coming weeks. Maybe I'll get some photos to add to this review.

Absolutely loved this quaint little restaurant. Service was spot on, lovely staff. Food was fantastic (had the lamb pizza), and I feel, quite well priced too. Would definitely come here again.

Well let’s start by giving The Olive Tree 11 out of 10!!!!We hadn’t booked but Paddy made us so welcome and “squeezed “ us both in which was so very kind of him, thank you once again Paddy!!!The sea bass was absolutely beautifully cooked.The whole atmosphere of this wonderful restaurant along with the very nice staff, gave us both the feeling of beautiful Greek sunshine.We will return in the summer but will make sure we book online next time.Thank you Paddy and Team.Garry & Barbara Wood

Really good food. The pizzas were well cooked and the olive tree pizza was dynamite with the goats cheese & caramelised onion marmalade was superb on the palette. Reasonably priced and the service was fantastic. Definitely with a visit when in Nailsworth.
