Such a friendly, comfortable, picturesque place to have lunch, Incredibly dog friendly too. Perfect place to stop for a highly recommended, very generous portion, of ribs and a pile of creamy garlic mussels

Came from Wales on a visit, stopped here for a drink the atmosphere and surroundings were so nice, we returned after a walk for food. Beautiful food,husbands a chef so he has high standards lol. We were both really impressed with the quality of food, delicious. All staff friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend. Thank you.

What can I say, pheasant for a tenner, very friendly staff and when I had a ciggy in the garden the view over the canal and lock was amazing. That garden must be tremendous in the summer.

A spontaneous meal out with friends and we had a good evening. Wasn't too busy so easily found a table, friendly service with a smile from the staff and we were served efficiently. I should have taken a photo to show size as I had the homemade pie as it most certainly is homemade! A huge slice of steak and kidney pie with chips gravy and veg 😋 it was delicious! Will most certainly be coming back again and would definitely recommend!

Started popping in as the flu season ended.The Food is great pub fare.The Staff are friendly with excellent serviceJun the top chef is a time served top man.We pop in now as regulars,great position on the canal .Large outside garden.The conservatory overlooks the canal.We would recommend this venue to everyone who likes value for money.Right where the real gloucestershire countryside starts

Both the staff and other patrons were super friendly and helped my disabled brother after he'd had a little accident.I used to love going to The Pilot as a kid for meals with my family, hadn't been back for 20 years.The fabric of the building has noticeably deteriorated in that time sadly, but the great location and family-friendly vibe haven't changed one bit.Excellent pub, worth a visit if walking along the Sharpness canal with your kids.Thanks for looking out for us out this weekend, well appreciated!

Very nice pub, situated right on the canal.It's a lovely building.They have friendly staff, and always a good atmosphere!They make nice food.They have regular live music, and sometimes other events too.Friendly dogs are welcome

Went for a quick meal at 5.30 today.Thursday special, steak and a bottle of wine. Steak cooked to perfection.Everything looks very fresh.Good service, compliment to the chef.Will definitely go again.Definitely will go back

Stopped here on our way cycling back down the Gloucester - Sharpness Canal. Good selection of real ales. Very reasonable meal prices. Friendly staff and excellent service. I would definitely go there again.
