The Ragged Cot Restaurant in Stroud

Found this place while looking at pubs in Stroud and couldn’t be more pleased with it! Only came for drinks but as a barman myself I can safely say they keep their beer better than you can get anywhere. Will definitely be back and this time for food too!

We had an absolutely brilliant experience. A wonderful nights stay, lovely dinner and the most wonderful breakfast. Good service not over the top but attentive

We booked an outside pod so our elderly and vulnerable parents could enjoy a rare meal out whilst being kept safe. It was lovely. The food and service was excellent. There was a WiFi speaker at the table so you could listen to your own choice of music and the pods also had heaters and Aircon available to use, to cater for all weather conditions! The gardens were beautifully kept and kids had room to run around.

Lovely place for our one night stay. Not sure what happened during our pre booked evening meal. The service was very slow and a bit haphazard. They did kindly reflect this on our bill which we didn't ask them to do.The food was lovely and the breakfast also but please inform the staff member not to shout requests to the chef in the kitchen. It made us feel uncomfortable.

Had a superb Sunday lunch here, I would say it's one of the best places around for Sunday lunch. The sticky toffee pudding was also amazing. The menu is expensive but the food is worth it. They also have a decent selection of beers and ales.

Absolutely lovely Sunday lunch, very tasty veggie option, perfectly cooked yorkshires and just the right amount of food to fill you up without being too much. Service was excellent with very friendly and thoughtful staff, really nice garden to enjoy the sun and the drinks were reasonably priced. Can't fault a single thing!

We’ve just had a fabulous evening at this gorgeous pub. Warm, inviting, great staff and fabulous decor. The food was sensational. Venison, fish cakes and katsu curry were amazing. Presented beautifully. Puddings equally lovely. Would highly recommend.

Looking forward to this visit, buy it wasn’t to be when we asked could we eat I was advised only in the bar. In front of me was a beautiful dinning room but I was advised they were getting ready for dinner service. Never mind we was only trying to spent some money. Won’t be back poor service.

Had a really good meal here with a work colleague. Friendly service, great food (I had the croquettes followed by steak and then chocolate brownie 😋) - reasonable prices.. what more could you want? I'd definitely come back again.

A great local pub/ restaurant with rooms and lots of menu choice. The decor is great and comfortable seating! We thought spotlessly clean. Had a great lunch and the waiter was friendly,professional and helpful. We will definitely come back.
