The Royal William in Stroud

Food awful as were the staff one woman in particular. My chicken was very tough and extremely dry only barely edible. Left most of it.

Nice friendly pub with 2 for 12 Mon to Fri but bit limited if you're vegetarian and nothing for vegan. Was sad to see my favourite cannelloni dish removed from menu for basic pasta. Or veg sausage n mash is ok.

Shocking, this is the 1st 0 review I have ever done.The restaurant had only our table of 10.The chef was ill so we understand how difficult it can be when short staffed and every empathy would be given, however two starters which should have been the soup of the day was actually tinned chopped tomatoes 🤔My daughters delayed birthday celebrations because of lockdown was requested..There was no side dinner manner and the dish was actually brought to her as burnt offerings.. and they had the cheak to submit the bill with out a maybe small discount

Carvery was lovely although lacked variety only 2 meats and 3 veg. Drinks lovely staff very friendly and helpful. They could have put hearing on as kept coats on during lunch

Lovely place. My meal was huge and delicious. My partner enjoyed his meal too. Staff are very attentive. Would highly recommend.

The hospitality shown from the staff was first class, and the food was stunning. Can't fault the place in any way at all. Ps try the home made Bakewell tart. It's heaven in a bowl If I didn't live so far away it would be my new regular place to eat.

Absolutely fantastic. The food was delicious, the service was fabulous - despite being fairly busy, Alex (who seemed to do it all except the cooking!) was funny and charming and very welcoming - and the beer was excellent. We will certainly be returning.

Lovely pub and really nice people serving.! I was a little disappointed in my lunch of a burger, fairly basic compared to some offerings chips were magic.. My partner had sausage, mash and peas and again disappointing. All subjective but it did seem awash with gravy? Having said all this, the wine was nice and we were able to relax in a nice environment.l would certainly visit again and try some of the other selection off the menu and beers.

Saturday 10th August I had my wedding reception at the royal William and I can't express enough of what a fantastic job you done. Everything went to plan and ran smoothly. You are an amazing team. The children had plenty of space to run around and enjoy themselves. Food was amazing and the staff was always on hand to help. Everyone commented on what a lovely place it was and how the staff was very friendly. Thank you Mr and Mrs Ilott.

Excellent food coupled with a superb selection of real ales and a quite impressive wine selection. We really enjoyed our meals and found the Nook with a fire a very comfortable spot for after dinner. The food was reasonably priced and was brought promptly and cooked to perfection. Can't rate high enough.
