Stayed here for Sunday night. Big thanks to Charlotte for the complimentary upgrade, the room was really nice. Lovely setting and a relaxing stay.Only minor negatives: in general the staff in the bar/restaurant area were friendly and welcoming, (Thomas&James) some staff seemed a little miserable and disinterested?Dinner was expensive and to be honest not very nice which is a shame as the menu looked great.Breakfast was super and the food was of excellent quality with prompt and polite service. Will return and would recommend. Not quite five star review on the points raised.

I booked a Friday night stay for my Fiancées Birthday, after trying to stay for the last 2 year’s. I must say that we were blown away by the friendliness of all of the staff. Our room was amazing, although we would have preferred an outside room with views of the river. After a really lovely breakfast we enjoyed coffee in the outside garden just over the road, which was very beautiful. I would totally recommend staying in this beautiful hotel in our favourite village in the Cotswolds. Keep up the great work guys & we will definitely visit again.

We drove from Bristol to visit this lovely hotel and restaurant to enjoy a nice cooked meal.We are happy to say that everything was excellent, the customer service and the flavour of the food we both choose were excellent! We will be visiting again when the weather is on our side.Thank you!

We stayed in one of the cottages, Whistling Cottage. There was a lovely cosy sitting room downstairs with a little private courtyard and a beautiful large bedroom and bathroom upstairs with shower and separate bath. The rooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The restaurant in the hotel was very stylish but comfortable and welcoming and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The whole experience was wonderful and I can't praise this lovely spot in a gorgeous Cotswold village, enough.

The staff were a delight, attentive, well mannered and offered fantastic customer service. However our experience overall wasn't up to standard.Upon entry our reservation which was made two weeks earlier wasn't on the system giving us slight concern as to whether we would be enjoying a valentines dinner, from here we were seated next to a family of six (in truth any other evening this wouldn't of been an issue) but given that the two children were allowed to run riot this didn't allow for a relaxing evening. The menu gave for plenty of choice and we decided to opt for the Bibury sharing platter, this seemed to be a popular option due to two other tables ordering the same a few minutes later, that being said at least thirty minutes had gone by before we actually received said starter, of which the corresponding tables had started eating within ten minutes of the waitress leaving the table. We swiftly moved onto the main steak for myself and filled pasta for my partner, no time issues here both dishes arrived promptly, one perfectly cooked steak and one stone cold frozen pasta, as you can imagine not the perfect start. The pasta was obviously returned giving the opportunity for redemption however not second time lucky, the same frozen pasta was placed on the table. Not good. All in all, not exactly the way you'd want to spend a valentines evening.

Delicious beef sandwich with chips on the side, the best I've tasted in years! Lovely relaxed, elegant surroundings. Friendly, helpful staff Highly recommended.

Lovely little hotel tucked away in a tiny village. Beautiful gardens with a stream, would be stunning in the summer! Attended for a wedding and not a single complaint, the staff were efficient, the receptionist helpful and the food was exceptional. Sadly didn't stay overnight but would definitely consider it in the future

It's a beautiful setting, obviously. But the experience inside is lovely too. The staff were attentive and friendly. We ate in the brasserie. The fish and chips was great, with incredible thrice cooked chunky chips. The vegan salad was beautiful. And the kids tomato pasta went down very well with our 3 year old. Great all round.

Lovely afternoon tea. Warm scones, fresh sandwiches and an assortment of sweet treats - unusual flavour combinations that we probably wouldn’t have chosen ourselves but great experience. The staff were fantastic, despite the board outside saying they were short on staff. Extremely friendly and accommodating. No request too much to ask. Felt very special as a guest.
