Winstones Ice Cream Limited in Stroud

Small local ice cream factory and shop. 4 choices of cones plus a Gluten-free cone and tubs. 99 Flakes and fudge sticks and sauces. What more do you want? A walk up here or around the Common and you have well and truly earned the right to one of their fab ice-creams. The 'blackberries & cream' is my favourite closely followed by 'honey & ginger'.Go on! Give it a go. Very reasonably priced too. There is also some dog ice cream but our two mutts just weren't interested.

Excellent. I've been coming here since I was little and now I'm 41. My parents used to come with their parents as well. I normally have the vanilla which was pretty much all they used to do back in the day. My son loves their mint chick chip. It's always really busy in the summer. Glad it is still going strong.

Great icecream shop to cool you down on a hot day. Fab flavours and amazing quality. Prepare to wait in a queue, as it's super popular!

I wondered why this place was always PACKED. Now I know. Cows + ice cream.The ice cream is lovely and smooth, lots of options including some dairy free ones.BUT the hours are odd.. 10-5:30…Who wants ice cream at 10am?Wouldn’t it make sense to be open until after dinner ? Just my two cents.I personally would stop by after dinner, not after breakfast.

Yummy! Top tips ;1: Much bigger queues at weekends, come in week if possible2: Bring a portable chair, so you can face the afternoon sun and have a comfy seat. No benches around there, just a slope down with average views.3. If you are patient enough (and especially if someone else can hold the ice creams for you!) you can drive 2 mins away and eat with fantastic views of the valley

Fab visit today! Have wanted to visit for ages (Winstone’s Ice Cream is infamous locally), so was pleasantly surprised when we came across it on a walk on Rodborough Common.Gorgeous location to go for a walk and stop in for a rewarding treat! Lots of choice too!

All i would say is be prepared to queue on a hot day! I absolutely love winstones, the staff are always friendly and the ice cream is just amazing. I would highly recommend the raspberry ripple!I have been going to Winstones for many years as i have family members that live within walking distance and I have never had a problem!! Definitely worth a visit if you're passing. Just be aware of the months they are not open.

It's easy to find a parking spot. The staff were very helpful, being a coeliac even cross contamination can be an issue. Staff offered to wash their hand and use a cleaned scoop and new which flavours were gluten free.Ice cream was very nice with a vast array of flavours to choose from.Definitely a good place to visit any time of year, especially as hot chocolate and coffee are available.

Amazing ice cream. Dairy free (sorbet) options. Would strongly recommend a visit!No public toilets and there van be a queue. You still need to wear a mask inside.

Really nice people. Vegan and gotten free. All made on site. Local legend. Gluten-free cones too.
