I had one hour to wait in Swindon before my next train and the train station staff kindly let me get out get a coffee. I asked where to go and the train station staff recommended me the Costa Café right next to the station and he added that the centre wasn’t worth the stroll. This comment raised my curiosity to see by myself and also, Costa Coffee is really meh. The centre is really quiet indeed, almost all shops are closed and the windows are dusty. By the sea-side, maybe this would have a meditative and melancholic charm but in the mainland, the effect is quite depressing.Darkroom Espresso is very nice, the seats are comfortable, there’s a relaxed vibe with plants and mismatched furniture. I had a very good filter coffee and a delicious vegan carrot cake that most definitely could pass for not vegan. The team was nice and the clients there were chatting to each other’s and with the staff. I would definitely go again if I pass by Swindon again!! The highlight of my hour in this city.

I love this coffee shop. A very pleasant place to spend an hour or two at the weekend whether you’re alone with a book or with company. They always have interesting coffee which is unrivalled in quality and the staff are super friendly.

Tucked away on the outskirts of the town centre is this little gem. Thre word describe it : informal, quality and friendly. The owner and staff live their coffee and combine it with a range of good quality cakes, sandwiches and toasties that compliment it well. A fantastic place to chill out from the world and have 30 minutes to yourself with quality food and drink.

We’ve been at Darkroom Espresso for a quick coffee but unfortunately we hadn’t the best experience..First thing I want to say is that the staff has been really nice and friendly and that the cakes I could see looked nice, so these are definitely positive points. But the reason why I only gave 2 stars is that the ambience was quite rough, the toilet wasn’t really clean and also I’m really sorry to say it but we didn’t like the coffee at all..

A unique coffee shop to study and read books. No loud noises which will help you a lot to concentrate on what you do. They do have a variety of food and drinks you can select from. I honestly love the great interior all over the place. Trust me! You will never be disappointed for sure! A memorable place to relax.
