Fox and Hounds in Swindon

My first visit to the fox and hounds pub, unfortunately I didn't see the signs to say you need to log your registration number.I ended up with a parking fine for £100 not the pubs fault I must add. I did appeal and the fine was taken down to £20, still an expensive drink 🙄

Had a 2 night stay, friendly staff, accommodation good, clean all amenities. Pub resteraunt very busy bit food excellent. Would recommend.

Ploughman's lunch was tasty but pricey for the smallish portion size. Plenty of choice as to where to pick a table inside or out. Didn't like having to put car registration onto a screen though.

Half an ale on draft in the sunny beer garden was just the treat after a hot day at work. Lovely friendly staff and good sized garden to take in the evening sunshine.

Went there for dinner, really nice cozy place, food was really nice good portion sizes 😋 prices are really reasonable, friendly staff and good service..

Booked a room for friends but had to cancel. Tried calling all morning but no answer when we eventually got through my wife was told she would be charged full price as late notice. After she told me I said why don't you call them back and ask if you can change date for another family date in July. So she called back and was told No! You will have to pay again. So I spoke with the manager and said surely there is something you can do or at least try as surely having rooms there should be someone answering phones at Reception or something. If not why not? He said he couldnt as it was already in the system. I answered couldn't or wouldn't? He said couldn't After I told him I would be giving bad review he then replied go for it and said if I wasn't so rude maybe there was something he could have done before hanging up! Avoid if you don't like being ripped off!!! I wasn't rude but obviously the manager likes his bonuses and doesn't know the difference between bad service and reputation and good.

Absolutely fantastic pub with a beautiful function room as well. The food is exceptionally good and I do not hesitate to provide this pub a 5 star review. You cannot go wrong with a trip here!

Stayed in the "Triple room-Standard-Ensuite with Shower-Garden View-with veranda"Service was lovelyRoom was spacious and the deck came in handy when drinking coffee in the morning sun. The biscuits included with the coffee (in room) were a treat.The sofa bed is too hard / unconfortable to be called a bed. There is also too much light spill from the foyer and bathroom when using it as a bed.

My second visit to this establishment! The food is lovely, the staff are fantastic and very helpful! They also have lovely accommodation, which is very reasonably priced! Well worth a visit!!👍

Food was decently portioned.Only negative would be the lack of seasoning in the steak burger mix. Other than that, it was a lovely meal.
