Mela in Swindon

Ordered at 7pm, told 1hr now 10pm, still waiting and a phone call 1hr ago told only 15 mins..Update as curry has now arrived.. worst curry in the last 5 years. Ordered lamb and paid extra, chicken curry arrived and tasted awful, watery.. what can I say. I had an eat in curry at this place a couple of months ago that was lovely. So gutted the takeaway was polar opposite.

Best place to eat in Swindon. Generous, delicious portions. Lots of vegetarian options and everything reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend!

Nice food, though the service is a bit slow. A few items are a bit overpriced, like tandoori chicken. But overall, chicken biryani & naan breads are good.A bit minus is the parking (no dedicated parking for customers).

Tried everywhere round town and nowhere beats Mela for both flavour and value for money..Friendly, helpful staff who are always happy to recommend something new and always provide a good experience for both eat in and take out customHighly recommend

Delicious food and nice staff. Tried four of the vegetable curries and a potato naan. All wonderful. Lots of new dishes to try.

Not local, we found the Mela by literally following our noses as we could smell this place down the street and we were not disappointed The best Indian we have ever had… quick service helpful waiter and a large portion size. If we’re ever back in Swindon we will definitely be back here.

If it’s wife’s birthday, it has to be a special place....... decided Mela with few reviews from friends... 😊Wife and Son were very excited as we planned dinner in a hotel after a long time...🌸Indian food is ofcourse anytime favorite, Restaurant is Authentic Indian cuisine ... very good service.. good ambience... greeted us very well, quick service, was always smiling n helping us to decide the food.. did customize for our choice. Charles was really nice person in Mela who took care of us. Myself, Wife n Son felt happy about the whole experience. 100% a good place. Surely will visit again.

Great service. Nice ambiance. Good food. Lamb Biriyani gets top marks for taste, a generous portion, but a bit sparse with the lamb I'm afraid.

Best and only genuine Indian restaurant with authentic Indian taste not a typical so called 'curry house' taste.Mr. Ravikanth Yedhati who not only own Mela restaurant but also cook food for his guest. And I must say that the chef(him) of Mela has got magic in his hand. It is very much clear after having food that why Mr. Ravikanth Yedhati is award winning chef.Swindon is bestowed to have real Indian restaurant which is bringing real taste of India here in south west of England.Astonished by the friendly staff which is rare find now a days.

Well presented food, quality meat and good flavours. Paneer Tikka very good, some of the kebabs less so. Friendly service, just a tad haphazard when fully busy.
