Smarts in Swindon

what can I say about smarts fish bar ,Except the food is Delicious ,it's always hot and tasty, the fish is beautifully cooked and moist, and the chips are really fluffy ,not soggy or hard like some shops, the portion sizes are huge and really fill you up ,the shop is always immaculately clean, and run by very friendly people, due to obviously covid measures you have to wear a mask inside the shop and they only allow 3 people in at a time, there is hand sanitiser available, you can phone up and order your food in advance, and a thing to remember is that they accept cash payments only, so if you are looking for fish and chips pay smarts a visit,this is just a quick update to let you know that smarts now take cards as well as cash.

Had battered sausage & chips. + fish and chips. Batter on the sausage wasn't crispy and the fish was quite dry. Disappointed.

i went to smarts fish bar in Highworth Wiltshire to order fish and chips minced beef and onion pie but said no all they had was chicken and mushroom pie in the cabinet pointing to it asked why they could not do me a minced beef and onion pie no answer was given i have been their before no problem all okay but their have been other occasions this has happened and still no answers to why as they are pukka pies and they come frozen why could they not put one in there microwave oven to complete my wishes or is it a case they could bothered so my feet did the voting i went else-ware sorry i had to do this but it is not the first they have done this to me so this the reason i have done a negative review Michael McGuire

A great local fish and chip shop. It is cash only which is a draw back but it has never effected me.

Based upon all the write-ups I did queue and really was looking forward to trying Smarts Fish and Chips. I would say the chips were 3 * and the fish was really tasty 4*+. However, the first time I turned up I forgot it was Cash Only so had to go to another shop and have to say the other shop's chips were better and the fish just as good (perhaps a one-off?)
