The Blunsdon Arms in Swindon

We've not visited in a few years and so when the warm Spring sunshine appeared I decided to give it a go.A warm, friendly clean interior, but we opted to sit outside on the large patio area in the sunshine.They also have a half dozen open ended covered pods outside where you could sit in a small group of it were raining.A good range of drinks on tap- including to my delight Estrella!Our lunch was hot, fresh and served within about 10 minutes.Would definitely recommend.

Food was okay, but sadly not as good as it has been before. Had a meal fish and chips.Starters was mushrooms, which were nice but they put them in a bowl that they pad out with rolled up paper.The fish and chips was noticeably smaller than the plate. The treacle sponge was lovely though. For the price it was a nice meal.

I ordered the vegan burger and ended up with a spicy katsu burger which I didn’t want or like, I tried to send it back but was told this WAS the vegan burger, it just has a different sauce if you order it as the katsu? Very confusing and apparently not very much range for vegetarians. Nice cocktails tho!

Nice atmosphere, good service, fairly clean, not withstanding the odd exception, fairly priced. They have plenty of space and sport is often on if you want that sort of thing. Outside enclosed tables came along when COVID first arrived and they've kept them which is nice. Nothing much to fault to be honest.

I had the festive gourmet burger, turkey, my team had the same with beef, and one large children's meal cheeseburger. One of the best burgers I had in the UK so far, eaten mine and sampled the rest, you can taste and smell the grill... Excellent and moist patties, the buns were just right, well done, chips, great.My daughter is usually fussy around food, and takes forever to eat, she ate all of it apart from the bit I stole...The dog didn't get any, she got a snack...All for not much more than McD equivalent... Never will I eat anywhere like that instead of here again.

Staff were lovely. Had a mixed grill and all was ok apart from my steak. Asked for med/rare got med/well done and it was very gristly - folded up in napkin to take home for the dog. Apart from that all good.

I rarely review any place but the burger I ordered from this place was one of the best burgers I have ever tasted. They even added complimentary garlic bread to my just eat order which was delicious too. Overall 10/10 for food, 10/10 for presentation (even though it was an online order). Guys you've earned a frequent customer. Please give my best to the chef and the team. And thank you very much for that damn burger 🥂🍔

Surprised to find this pub so busy on a Monday evening. I assume it's because the cask ale is on offer on Mondays and Thursdays. Nice pub, good beer and food. Very busy and extremely warm. Will try and find a slightly less warm space next time.

Really really really gone down hill. Used to be a nice decent pub with a broad not to broad diverse menu.......Now a dirty hovil tables disgusting floor disgusting.......let alone the service ....... finished my starter before we even got our drinks ........have my chips tipped over the table by the waitress ......mixed chrill sat under the heat lights for a good half hour as she didn't clear our empty starter dishes.....oh and the "blue" medium steak that came with it must I go onPlease leave this place aloneUnless you want a drink or rubbish foodNot family friendly or food friendly drinking pub only

Great food. Fab service. Brought a bowl of water for our dog without us needing to ask. Easy to use order system. No hassle. Definitely recommend.
