The Cold Harbour in Swindon

We went to The Cold Harbour today for my Birthday celebration with my sister. When we arrived the table had been set up with banner and celebration decorations. The food was absolutely amazing as it always is when Rich & Jas are in the kitchen. Service was fab and was made to feel very special.Thank you Sharon and all the team so very much for such a lovely celebration xx

I enjoyed it a lot and my girlfriend genuinely LOVED the place. Nice interior, friendly staff, good parking, good food and drinks. I don't drink and they had a few non-alcoholic wines which is a great positive for me.

First time eating at the Cold Harbour..and I loved it. Food was absolutely gorgeous, the staff was very friendly and extremely good at their jobs with high standards..me and the lads will 100% be back again next week.We all work away from home during the week and stay in hotels around Swindon..some restaurants have been a hit and quite a few have been a massive let down where food is concerned. The Cold Harbour's food reminds me of my Mother's cooking..in a sense their food was not only very tasty and well prepared but it also reminded me of home..so yet again, thank you!

Been here a couple of times with the kids and really cant fault it, the service was friendly, the food was delicious and good value according to my 8 year old daughter.Will definetely recommend to friends and will be back for more

Family dining, good food and the beer was great. They allowed a two hour slot because they were fully booked which was still enough time for a relaxing time out. Polite and helpful staff, we also took a takeaway home

Had a meal here last Friday for the 1st time. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Food was incredible, and despite being busy, we were asked regularly if we were OK, and topped up with drinks as and when we needed them. Very attentive staff and loved the atmosphere. Will most certainly be returning. Thank you

We were a party of 4 for evening meal. Some items on the menu weren't available (mashed potato, prawn cocktail!) but we were served quickly by friendly polite staff who brought us tasty meals and made sure we were happy.

Plenty of parking, next to premier in with a free code at the bar. The fish and chips were pricey for what was a substantial but somewhat oily meal. The staff were attentive and friendly and it is spotlessly clean with good covid precautions. The menu is reasonable varied. Would softly recommend as it is a fabulous pub in general but a little dissapointed on the fish and chips particularly as this was our first venture out after covid. Lots of space and lots of outside tables.Response to the response :)My wife is on chemo and we wanted to get in and out quickly. However if we had been asked at the end of the meal we would have said something. That is not a complaint it is just timing. It is however an opportunity to look at how the food is staged during preparation. Too oily is a processing issue and a pub fish and chip meal is expected to be high standard and not oily. That is a better way to look at this. The goal should be if it is ok for weatherspoons it is not ok for us :)Here is how I would have responded:I am sorry you were not delighted with your meal, we will look into this and address it with our catering staff. Please if possible mention these thing during your meal so we have an opportunity to address it . But we understand this is not always possible.
