The Jolly Tar Hannington in Swindon

When first entering we were told we couldn’t eat in a rather rude manner by the barman , once we had then gone into the garden we soon realised people who entered after us were being served food !!! The table opposite us came way after us and within 10 mins had ordered food after we had been told we couldn’t have any , the rude “in your face” attitude from the barman was incredibly poor , will not be visiting again!!!

Very friendly village pub with excellent food and service.

Loved it the ribs are possibly the best I have had. The merlot was very good. 5 stars have just been for sunday lunch and it was very very nice I had pork with crackling of course and the meat was melt in the mouth good. It came with loads of veg and the plates were warm !! ( that alone gets another star ) I had a wonderful sticky toffee pud , homemade of course . Cannot wait to go back

A country pub that doesn’t allow dogs?! They opened the other half of the bar for us so the dog could come in, and reluctantly agreed to make us sandwiches when they initially said the kitchen had closed (it was 1:30pm on a Thursday). At one point a friend went to the bar to get a drink as we hadn’t seen the waitress in some time, and she looked at him and walked the other way. Not the friendly country pub we were looking for

If you are looking for a quintessential English pub with wood beams, open fire, nice ales etc, top notch cuisine, freindly staff and quiet ambiance. Look no further.

Delicious food. BBQ style pork chop was excellent. Nicest pub coleslaw I've had in a while as well. Highly recommended.

A lovely pub with friendly staff, the food was amazing, my husband said that the ribs were the best he'd ever had. My seabass was excellent too. Really good portion sizes as well. Would really recommend you to visit here if you're visiting the area.

Lovely welcome back, even after such a long time and, as usual, needed reminding of closing time after such a delicious lunch! May I say, your chicken ceaser salad was so delightfully presented and tasted divine. Thank you

Delicious food their were 8 of us all had something different off the menu and all of us enjoyed it enormously, very pretty setting first time there and definitely won't be the last, staff were lovely too.
