"A pub at the heart of the community and proud of our heritage. A quick catch up over a drink with family and friends, or catching all of the live action with our great sports viewing. There is always something going on in your local pub with a great atmosphere and value for money."

I travel from Gloucester to The Merlin in Swindon, to meet up with my daughters and friends and family. We have the seniors menu because the portions are just a bit smaller, so not overwhelming. The food is such good value for money. It's hot and tasty. The young girl there, Mexico, always looks after us so well, she's almost family herself! Highly recommended. 😃

Frequent visitors as family of six (four kids seven or under!). We are huge fans of this place. Good pub grub that's decent value for money and very family friendly. Highly recommended.

Ambience, staff very nice.Drinks pretty cheap.Live sports especially football is always on and lots of screens.A lot of tables so no.Food not that great. Can be surely improved - maybe increase the price on that and improve quality.

Tuesday visit for lunch. Great menu in managed outlets at very reasonable prices. 2 meals for £10.99 and seniors menu of two courses for £4.99. Our meals were spot on, just a bit high on prices for drinks. Hunters Chicken and Katsu Chicken. Yumm

Unbeatable Mac and Chips, super fresh Fish and Chips and great ambience. Sunday roast prices are hard to beat, too. Not so impressed by the beer, though. For those that prefer lagers (or the Greene King IPA), those are available, I'm more of a real ale person and it's a tad disappointing in that department. The Icebreaker Pale on draught is pretty good nonetheless but theres hardly any 'good' beer options apart from that.

The fish and chip were nice, so was the garlic bread I wish the peas mash was a bit more creamy but thanks for the amazing service.

Had my other half's big 40 in the function room at the Merlin. Staff and service was brilliant. Good size function room.

Always an enjoyable experience, fair prices for drinks as did not get food but Frank especially was incredibly attentive and easy going! Really enjoyed my experience here ☺
