What an amazing pub! Genuinely marvelous staff!

Had so much potential. Barn pub in an idyllic location. Unfortunately the roast dinner was not what I would call a Sunday lunch. The Chicken was cold and not roasted, the beef tough, the veggies over boiled. No service whatsoever. Had to ask for menus and drinks then had to ask for cutlery. Even had to go and give them our order at the bar as waiting staff just stood and stared. This was booked 2 months ago for a birthday and the table wasn't even ready. So very disappointed! Safe to say this party of 10 did not leave a tip and will not return!

I made a booking over a month in advance thinking the place looked lovely and cute which it does. Unfortunately we turned up and the tables weren't ready and when they made the tables up they didn't give us cutlery. Service was very slow and the roast was possibly the worst roast I've ever had. The "roast" chicken was boiled and not roasted and it was also cold. There were 5 of us who had chicken and they were all cold. Wish I booked somewhere else for my birthday.

Great place to stay to recharge your batteries.Stayed in one of the cottages rooms. Although it looks out over the pub garden it was still quiet. There was a table and chair outside the accommodation which is great if you do want a drink in the garden. Pub is lovely with great touches.Would recommend staying here or just pop in for a drink & bite to eat.

Properly good food and amazing table service! My friend and I arrived after a bike ride and initially popped in for a few pints but decided to stay for food. We sat at the most awkward table at the top of the garden and the lady serving could not have been happier to accommodate us. Perfect recommendations on the menu too! Well done!

We had a nice dinner sitting outside in their great outside space / beer garden. The littleuns had a super time playing in the area. Food was great and tasty, and air was fresh and clean - would recommend a visit :)

Great, welcoming dog friendly pub with a lovely garden. We stayed in the rooms on site, perfectly located for beautiful walks in the Quantock hills. Food & drink was all excellent. Only wish I’d bought my MTB as there are some great looking trails at the top of the hill, great reason for another visit

We had a great experience from making the booking onwards. We went for dinner on Saturday evening.We received a lovely warm welcome, and the team looking after the table were friendly & efficient.The food is of a very high standard, definitely 'restaurant' quality for the starters, mains and deserts that we enjoyed.If you're into wine, the selection on offer is quite narrow.They also have 'pub grub' options if that's more to your liking.Thanks for a lovely evening Team Blue Ball Inn.

We visited for a meal and were extremely impressed with the food. You can tell the new chef comes from a background of Michelin starred restaurants, the food is a far better than just pub food, and a level above anything else in the area. It's extremely well priced for the standard of food. Great atmosphere on a Friday evening and the staff were great. Lynda, the landlady, couldn't do enough for us. All covid regulations were well managed too.

Popped here after a walk around the local area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where you can see wild horses, natural winding old woodlands and stunning views. This beautiful pub/restaurant is a very popular hit with local cyclists and dog walkers. Their dessert list is mouth watering along with an impressive high-end menu. Great selection of beers and a beautiful beer garden backing onto the sloping woodland above. Inside the timber atmosphere is charming. This is a wonderful find and would be perfect on a sunny day or rainy winters evening. Well worth a visit.Like if this review was helpful.
