Dropping car off for service nearby, so made a quick call to check they were open for non-resident breakfasts. No problem. Pay up front for the meal and give car registration if parking. Check the signs in the car park, else could get £85 fine even if using disabled space! Quickly seated and great hot full English breakfast. Have used premier inns fairly regularly. In comparison this was the best quality of all. Good quality strong flat white coffees from a self service machine and self service buffet for cereals. Then table service for the main cooked breakfast. Hot and freshly cooked. Excellent. Best crispy hash browns ever. Great atmosphere. Roads nearby very busy, but silent in the restaurant, even giving a rural impression with the surrounding grass and trees, although right in the town centre.

Its a nice place to meet up and have a drink with friends. The breakfasts are good value for money with lots of options.Day time meals are abit hit and miss,I've had some good meals and some not so good meals.Unfortunately they have just started to limit parking so be prepared to pay for it if you plan on spending over 3hrs (I believe).

Nice looking pub inside, garden area is scruffy but it’s not the summer yet. Staff were pleasant but not really on the ball on a quiet Tuesday lunchtime. Nobody serving on the bar for food orders and customers waiting to be seated at the door. Food was as can be expected, but sadly onion rings missing off one dish and the butter missing off another. The salad on the Ploughman’s was tired and bland for £9.99. Not a great first experience at this venue. Sadly only two stars on a quiet Tuesday lunch.

Food was excellent and the service was excellent, was very busy as was Sunday lunch time and many parents did not have control of their children and the children were running from the play room area into the main eating area, but one of the waitresses, Megan, was very good as she was really on the ball and kept talking to the children to stop running and when she saw children just walking about with no parent she would take control of the situation and take the child to the parent, Megan was a real star and deserves a gold star for her service and her keeping things safe well done, I had not visited thus place before but I would certainly go back after the service I received today and the actions I saw from Megan

Wanted to thank Roxanne for squeezing us in last night after my family missed their train home (with 3 young kids). There wasn't room for us to have a meal but she got us into the bar area for drinks and some chips for the kids. She also let the kids into the play gym for the last 5 minutes before it shut when we arrived which they loved. When we left for the next train she sent the kids off with colouring sheets and pencils, my 5 y/o niece actually asked 'why was that lady so nice to us?' Thank you, it made a very stressful evening much more enjoyable!

Came in over the weekend for a nice family gathering, when we first entered the building we was greeted by a lovely member of staff, who we booked a table with via phone. She showed us to our seating area and had a very friendly & professional conversation about today’s food, drinks, etc.. the (what we believed to be) was the manager on shift, seemed very aggressively annoyed with the member of staff assisting us. The manager demanded to speak to this lovely young lady about how “she wasn’t doing her job, and has a lot to do” (baring in mind the pub was very empty and not busy at all) the conversation went on and the (disgusting manager) made this young lady cry. To which was very uncalled for. This needs to changed and be addressed to, before it becomes worse.Worse management ever.

At the beginning , I would like to tell you that my visit to this restaurant was the worst bad experience by all standards. We had booked a table for 10 people because we invited our friends (2 families). When we called to reserve a table, the receptionist spoke to us and told us that we would come at 10.45 am ... but we told her that we wanted to stay until lunch time to order lunch for everyone. She said, "Welcome.”The receptionist told us we could sit in the restaurant as long as we wanted, and no need to leave before the lunch. So we invited our friends and came to the restaurant. We arrived at 11 am.An employee who was standing at the reception told us that our reservation had been canceled because we were late. And when we told him that we had contacted the receptionist and she told us ……., he said I doubt that the receptionist told you this.At that time We were not able to leave the restaurant because we are waiting for the invitees. Then he said even if I will give you a table, you will leave the restaurant at 12:30 because there is no place in the restaurant at lunch time and after a long and very annoying unprofessional discussion,he decided to gave us a table in the children's soft play area and we were not allowed to take a table from the restaurant. At mealtime, I can tell you it was so bad that even the kids couldn't eat their pizza (which all of them excited to have). The pizza was lousy, ready made and they just heated it up. Most of the other dishes are not available or there is something missing in the plate so we can't order it.We tried to compensate the guests for what happened and asked for a dessert dishes, also all the dessert dishes were not pretty. Filled with whipped cream and without flavour. We were not different from anyone in the restaurant except for one thing, that we are Muslims. Are Muslims treated like this in the country of freedoms? We felt that because of the looks of malice, hatred and mockery that the receptionist was throwing at us. It showed that he treated us like this just because he saw that we are Muslims. But we are now promise him it will be the last time to visit such restaurant. And I promised my invitees that I will write a review and tell everyone about what happened.Thank you.By the way sorry to give you one star, this is only because there is no zero star.
