Service is incredibly slow. Areas are blocked off late afternoon - presumably to avoid cleaning it at closing. This means there is very little room for customers. Again for cleaning reasons I assume, you're given take away cups and food in cardboard boxes if you're there after 5.Often a mess, often understaffed.and when there are staff... There is very little concern about how incredibly slowly the queue is moving. (I've noticed this in the Taunton Costa too...)How about you worry about using a phone charger *after* you've removed the open bin that you've left both in front of the entrance and in front of the sandwiches. It *used to be* a very nice place to sit and enjoy a coffee. It's being run into the ground by laziness now though. It is still the nicest tasting coffee though, hence some stars.

Place was closing down for the day but happy to serve. Had to ask for China and not takeaway cups but still accommodated and not rushed out the door, unlike Costa who refused to serve Would go back and ignore Costa

Very busy...not that clean hence the 4 star but served quite quickly ...staff ok .

First time I've been here and was pleasantly surprised. It had a lovely relaxing atmosphere the staff were lovely, helpful and friendly and the coffee was great 👍

Coffee actually tastes like decent coffee unlike it's big competitor. Staff could be a bit more friendly though.

·

Delicious coffee, it was busy but the wait was not too bad. No food.

·

16 mind to get served only 2 trainee baristers serving drinks.Tables not cleared for 40 minutes in cafe.Could not take cash.Staff walking through cafe with out masks.Have been coming 3 times per week for over 5 years.Service and hygiene at all time low since start of December.

Very old building with lots of character. Nice and cosy, too. Staff smiley and friendly. Hot chocolate is never very hot, though.

·

Rather quaint coffee shop in what looks like a fake tudor building. Nice comfortable seating nice atmosphere

This place has great memories for me visiting as a child in the 1960s when it was the Tudor Tavern (fantastic spit roast chicken and chips). Not quite the same as a cafe nero but at least it's open and trading still.
