What a pleasant surprise! I’ve been to the gardens before but never stayed to eat and I’m glad I did this time, the food was very tasty and good value for money, lots too choose from and nicely laid out. The staff are also fantastic. Would definitely recommend

We visited Hestercombe on Tuesday 17th August. We had a wonderful day out beginning with a delicious meal. There is obviously a talented chef or two in the kitchen as our hake was beautifully cooked and prettily presented. Despite being busy the table service was kindly.Walking through the grounds afterwards was as always a joy. We came here for lunch on our visit to Hestercombe house & gardens, excellent restaurant. We was greeted promptly and seated by a polite staff member. It was quite a hot day and we was offered a jug of water with ice and an lemon slice. Which was just what we needed. We both ordered the chicken burger and chips and it was lovely.

Exemplary Lunch!What a gem. Nice surroundings, efficient and friendly service, then the food! Interesting menu, huge portions, really lovely fresh food. I had the best pork belly I have ever tasted and it didn’t cost silly money. Desserts were equally delicious and in a league of their own for the prices. Can not recommend highly enough.

Very pleasant experience, the gardens are majestic and the paths are good for little ones to explore. Definitely worth a visit if looking for a mellow but thoroughly day out. Very reasonably priced also with children under 5 free.

We visited this lovely little cafe and adjoining shop which is set in the lovely Hetercombe House and gardens.We had their lovely beef roll with a delicious fresh side salad,it was very tasty and the staff were very friendly making you fell welcome,with plenty of seating and a great choice on the menu it’s a great place to visit the gardens are lovely to look around,from forest type walks,lakes,waterfall and formal gardens with plenty of colourful flowers and water features to look at.Overall a great place to visit.

Always so impressed by the food here! We've had many lovely lunches and today was no different. I had the seafood bisque with crab gnocchi which was divine, it was so refined it almost felt as though it could have been on MasterChef! It's always nice to sit outside on a sunny day too, the courtyard is an amazing suntrap. Never disappointed, highly recommend!

A wonderful day out with my partner. The walks and scenery lovely. Good value for money. The afternoon tea was a delight.

Had a lovely meal here the other day, pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and the menu is full of variety. The cakes and coffee that followed were also great.
