Fantastic country pub with a great beer garden! Food was spot on and the service was worth the 5* even though they were slammed for lunch during our visit.

Pleasant staff. Reasonable menu. Not very disabled accessible stairs to toilet no aids in the toilets.

I hope you have a big appetite if you eat here as the portions are enormous! I had chicken liver pate for starter which was great, and fish and chips for main, which had lots of flavour. The atmosphere was proper country pub, lots of chatter, character, busyness, people enjoying a few drinks, kids laughing etc. We were greeted enthusiastically and with friendship, and made to feel welcome. It was summer when we ate but I bet this is an amazing place with a roaring log fire in the winter! Already looking forward to going back.

This is a gorgeous traditional country pub. It is unspoilt inside and has a lovely large rear garden that is perfect for sunny days or warm evenings. Good range of beers etc. Definitely one to re-visit.

Lovely big garden. Dits allowed on lead. People were very nice and the food too. Beef and chicken burger were excellent. I had seafood chowder Which I found lovely too. A bit more soup in it would have been appreciated. But tasty and well presented.
