Love going to the racehorse when I get some down time from work. Mary is a fantastic landlady and is always welcoming, as are the rest of the bar staff. The atmosphere is always good and the live bands are great. One of the best places in Taunton.

Love this place....Fabulous Ales and beers..great local stout...a refreshing change from the standard Guinness...no TVs... cash only!How an English pub should be! Friendly staff!! Visit this place.. it isn't an old man's pub that time forgot either. It has a great appeal and vibe that should see this place vibrant at the weekends too!

Nice local pub with good Guinness, I particularly like the covered outside area. Selection of drinks and spirits is pretty basic and they don't do food apart from a happy hour type of affair where they have dishes out at the bar. Loud retro live music on Fridays is also a regular fixture.
