Rumwell Farm Shop and Cafe in Taunton Deane

Excellent friendly and welcoming staff and service. Quality food items presented with care and attention on the plate. Really enjoyed our food and drinks. Toilets were spotlessly clean. Thoroughly recommend. The adjoining farm shop was fantastic too!

Massive car park with disabled spaces right next to the doors means parking and access shouldn’t be an issue.For the cafe breakfast is served until 1130 with the main lunch menu starting at 1200. We went for lunch and hadn’t booked which was a risk, we got away with it being shown to a table for 4.On arrival we were greeted enthusiastically by a member of staff and seated straight away. The cafe is large and spacious we liked the fact you don’t feel like you’re sitting on top of people at other tables.There is extensive outdoor seating, a climbing frame for children and it looked like they were half way through a project to extend some covered outdoor seating as well.Wifi in the cafe is available but the mobile signal was also great if you can’t bear to be disconnected at the table.The menu was great with a lot of options available from toasted sandwiches, to sandwiches, to pasta dishes, fish n chips alongside many other options. The drinks menu was just as extensive with a variety of hot chocolates available alongside various coffees, smoothies, milkshakes and the standard fizzy soft drinks.At the counter there was a great selection of cakes and pastries meaning everyone should find something to eat and drink no matter their mood or occasion as far as I can see.Service from the staff was excellent, fast efficient, friendly and also very thoughtful about serving requirements based on different preferences and tolerances. Tom was our waiter, excellent service from him!The food itself was also amazing! I chose to have the turkey and cranberry sandwiches on their home made granary bread which was lovely! My wife had a burger which she adjusted to remove the tomato’s.I also had the green energiser smoothie which was absolutely amazing, and a mocha.Afterwards we went into the shop which was excellently stocked. The choice and variety was excellent.Based on this experience I would totally recommend a visit for a meal in the cafe and also certainly recommend you check out the shop.

I visited this Farm Shop and Cafe for the first time recently. It was wonderful and I will visit again. The main hall was packed with all sorts of nice food, drinks, plants (indoor and outdoor) a butcher, bakery items and home made cakes and pastries and items for presents etc. Lovely things. Some friends used the Cafe and enjoyed their menu. They were scrupulously clean and thoroughly cleaned the tables.I found the staff really pleasant, helpful and they went out of their way to help.I thoroughly recommend Rumwell and will certainly revisit when I am in the area again. A very satisfied and happy customer.

I visited both the cafe and farm shop today for the first time and loved both!The cafe was great…. I ordered garlic mushrooms and they were delicious.Patricia was my server and she was excellent! A real credit to the team.Look forward to returning soon!

Lovely, spacious cafe with a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were wonderfully warm, welcoming and helpful. Impressed with the vegan menu. I had a vegan cooked breakfast and vegan super dark hot chocolate with oat milk which was all delicious.The shop is stocked with a wide variety of foods and gifts. I like how the vegan items are labelled with green "I'm vegan" stickers.

Love this place. Very good for catching up with friends whilst enjoying good food. Staff always polite and helpful. Exceptional service today by Melissa with her bright cheery character and smile. It goes a long way. Keep it up Melissa, you will go far.

First visit to this fantastic farm shop and cafe. Disabled parking and large car park. Warm welcome. Very well organised cafe with everyone doing their own jobs efficiently. Plenty of choice on the menu and reasonably priced. Separate menus for people with allergies. Farm shop amazing, huge selection with some good offers. All staff were lovely. Will definitely return

The food was lovely , we didn't have to wait very long.The lady that served us couldn't have been more accommodating , the gentleman at the till when we paid was very jolly and friendly. All in all a lovely Christmas get together with exceptional customer service.

What a smashing place to shop and eat! The food in the cafe was delicious (be aware the scones are huge!) and the farm shop is a delight! A fantastic balance of fresh fruit and veg (some of which I've not seen in a supermarket before!) with pick your own frozen, wonderful breads and cake and a whole lot more besides. I'll be back!
