Shepherds Rest - Galmington- Taunton - Somerset in Taunton Deane

Like the vibe of this pub. Been here a few times now and are always made to feel welcome by staff and regulars. Obviously a very locals pub with a good atmosphere. Lovely outside area with a big scrren. Would say ideal for families. Food here looks good although haven't tried it yet but that is definitely on the to do list. Highly recommend this friendly place 👍👍

Just had a mix grill. Very good and the steak perfectly cook as I ask "rare" and tender.Everything tasted freshly cook.As a French would say " très très bon".And we cannot forget the welcome and the great service with a friendly smile

Absolutely lovely food and outstanding service. Staff can't do enough for you. Very enjoyable visit while on holiday in Somerset. Hopefully see you next year. A happy family with full bellies, even dog friendly. ❤️

We had our Mum's 90 Birthday party on Saturday night at the Shepherds Rest, for 40 people. It was wonderful, John and his team were brilliant, food excellent. Thank you to you all .

Friends of mine invited my family to join him and his wife for Sunday lunch as he’s well know at this pub, it’s my family’s first time here and we were not disappointed the staff were very helpful and made us feel comfortable at our table, the roast lunch was outstanding with loads of fresh vegetables to follow as I’m quite a big eater but what was nice they also do small lunches which suited the lady’s, I would definitely recommend this pub and I’m looking forward to my next visit even the chef showed his face for a quick chat 😋😋

We had a birthday meal for 5 of us recently, and had the Christmas menu. The food was really lovely with loads of fresh vegetables on the side. The apple crumble with ice cream, berries and fresh cream was extra delicious too! Good friendly service as well.
