Skewer House Taunton in Taunton Deane

Have wanted to visit here for a long time after many raving reviews from friends and finally managed it! Everything was lovely, prompt, fresh and delicious. Sharing with my friend meant it was also very affordable, would definitely return :)

Quirky and rustic with a good atmosphere, enjoyable different to the norm dining experience with a holiday vibe, food is tasty with good variety of flavours, deserts are sweet. Service was ok, Sangria could be improved and should have fresh fruit hence 4*. Car park behind is free after 6pm.

First time here and was greatly impressed.The decor was very calming and Mediterranean based and welcoming.The staff ( 2 ladies on their first day) were helpful and enquired if all was alright just enough to be on hand but not too much to be annoying.The food was amazing! We had the special with 3 sides but tbh, it was too much ( delicious tho)Starter was Portuguese sausage, olives and flat bread and was quite filling.My partner had beef for the main course and I the fish skewer. Both were cooked to perfection and the beef was soooo tender!!Dessert was boxed and brought home as were both so full but when we had them (cheese cakes) they were just as good as the first 2 courses.In summary, we would definitely return and shall for a special place to eat.Well done Skewer House, I cannot fault you at all.

I have been here many times and it is by far my favourite restaurant in Taunton. The service is superb and the food is incredible. If you have guests travelling from far away then take them here for a wonderful evening. Prices are very reasonable for what you get. Book far in advance, it’s very popular so fills up regularly.

Food was amazing andni enjoyed it but Service wasn't the best. Staff were taking our bowls while we we still trying to dish out our food which meant they took a portion of our sides away as these bowls weren't empty, when we asked for extra cutlery they were just thrown down on the table, and the waitress dropped the hot skewer from a flamin Chorizo on my lap after she picked it up. The food was great

We love this place and regularly go here. This restaurant is one of our top picks for when we want to dine out. Always a toss up between this one and Nobregas.Over time we have managed to have everything on the menu and highly recommend everything.Outstanding food, excellent service, quirky decor and cosy atmosphere. Perfect for any occasion.You will not be disappointed.

Great food but the staff seem allergic to bringing cutlery with firstly the tea and coffee, then the actual meal and finally yes no cutlery with the desert either, had to ask every time and had to bite my tongue when asked "do you both want cutlery?" (unless it's an optional extra that is? 😂😂😅) and no serviettes even though we asked twice!If I could give stars just for the food it would be five!

Excellent restaurant, really friendly and helpful staff and the food... absolutely delicious, good sangria and excellent service. Definitely recommended
