The Allerford Inn in Taunton Deane

Sat down for a meal of 20 people. All fantastic, all out on time, wonderful staff and food.

This place is a hidden gem and a regular for us. Busy or quiet, day or night, the service and food are exquisite! The team make you feel welcome and are super attentive, decor is cosy and beautiful, food is out of this world... always served fresh and piping hot. Due to its location the pub is very quiet on a weekday and we sometimes dine alone which is a real treat, quiet and intimate. But even on a busy night the tables are spaced well apart and it's not terribly noisy. I haven't yet left this place without feeling like I might explode as the portions are very generous but it's so tasty that we just can't stop eating! Positives = everything. Negatives = need bigger trousers.

Beautiful food!! The carvery is really nice! Lovely location as a wedding venue too! plenty of room outside, cozy inside but really nice!! Staff are helpful and friendly! Nice size carpark!

Wasn't sure what to expect but was very surprised. The menu isn't much to look, no fancy dishes but a closer look shows thought goes into those dishes and what they cook was cook very well and tasted like it was cook fresh. They were also bigger portion. All in all us as a family came away smiling. Well done chef and staff

The best carvery around without a doubt. Really good selection, all cooked beautifully and proper gravy. Would most definitely recommend.

Lovely food and at a decent price. Went their on a table of 6 and we all enjoyed our food. Even though they didn't have 2 dishes available on their menu, this didn't take anything away form the dining experience. Would recomend going there for food

One of the group ordered a prawn cocktail and when it came it was salmon with 3 prawns sitting on top no Marie rose sauce is that a new version she told the waitress she didn't like salmon but was told that was a prawn Cocktail?? And was not offered another choice every thing else no complaints

Visited tonight with my husband we really enjoyed they food and atmosphere. What a lovely pub / restaurant would definitely recommend very clean friendly and the atmosphere was perfect food came out hot and was delicious 😋 👌

We went there for a Sunday carvery. Everything from start to finish was very good indeed. The staff sere very accommodating &the food served was top quality. We had taken friends there & we were all totally happy with everything. Very well done to all.

This was our first visit and omg we wasn't disappointed, the carvery was to die for, tender meat, roasties cooked to perfection and dessert didn't disappoint either. We can happily say this was the best carvery we have ever had.The staff were friendly and attentive, lovely little place, the bottle of prosecco on the house to celebrate our wedding yesterday was a lovely touch so a big thank you to the Allerford team for making it a memorable trip for us on our honeymoon. We highly recommend the Allerford 10/10
