The Barley Mow Inn in Taunton Deane

WHAT HAS HAPPENED 😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠Absolutely disgusting, 9 meals not one was edible Cold, everything soaked in oil, Over microwaved Pie meat and pastry just dehydrated, home cut chips are French fries. we booked as we have done many times and ALWAYS BEEN SATISFIED, table not ready. The women at front of house was extremely ignorant stating that she was training new staff only young lady’s but to shout at them in front of customers is not good customer practice. Awful we will NEVER RETURN. Shameful

Good food and service all home cooked.

Beer was OK. Food was dreadful. Service average.

We have been to the Barley Mow on numerous occasions. The food is excellent as are the ales.Highly recommended.

Tip top cask beer, excellent food in a comfortable welcoming pub.

Staying in the area and it was my birthday so decided to have a meal out. What a lovely pub and lovely people. Was a Friday night and it was busy. Was a rather large party booked in at a similar time to us but the staff were very honest that we may have to wait a while... Which we didn't mind at all. Food was superb. I was absolutely full at the end. A good selection of ale on tap. This was the only night we had a meal but had called in a couple of times before just for a drink. Would definitely go again when next in the area.

Honestly, no bull , really enjoyable food, extremely tasty well worth a visit,three nights in a row three different meals all fantastic.will definitely return, great friendly people and great atmosphere.

We recently stayed in Trefonen and ate at the barley mow every night ( apart from Monday’s when they’re closed 😢)We received a warm welcome every night the food was amazing every night plus the two Sunday carvery’s we had.It was good quality and plentiful.Heather the manageress was lovely and so friendly and bubbly, the two regular staff we met Luca and Luke were also lovely and after we had been going for a couple of nights we felt that we had known them all for ages, the chef was lovely( sorry forgot his name)We would certainly recommend The Barley Mow to any of our friends.Thank you Heather and your wonderful staff ( including the lovely girls at the weekend) for looking after us so well we already miss you all, I know have to cook can we borrow chef please!!
