The Barn @ Pod Shavers in Taunton Deane

We had a fabulous Sunday Lunch. We all tried something different but we all made the same mmmm's as we tucked in to the delicious food. The puddings were also excellent and I fully recommend the crumble! Lovely team of people made for a very enjoyable lunch. We are already planning our return to try the other options!

Been here twice and the food was excellent both times - a la carte for a friend's birthday, and tapas on a Saturday afternoon. Service is great and they often have chilled out live music. This really is a hidden gem

Last Friday, we were staying at a local house for a hen weekend before we could get in to the house we booked a table at The Barn @ podshavers we ended up being slightly late as we were caught up in traffic. gave them a call and they were really understanding. The barn is set in a beautiful location and the staff had a high attention to detail.. The food was beautiful, we had a mixed board and a couple of tapas with a lovely bottle of Gavi Di Gavi to complement our late lunch. Thank you guys will be back if we are in the area again..

We went to this gorgeous little place on a sunny Saturday afternoon recently.We took my little dog and found a seat at a table in the beautiful outdoor courtyard.There was live music and a really friendly and relaxed atmosphere.The food we ordered was just fabulous and it was a very lovely place...We will return...Highly recommend this little gem😊

Absolutely loved this place. Outside area is lovely especially on a sunny day. Inside is nice too and very clean.Food is outstanding. We had the roast and it was seasoned perfectly. Flavours seemed to stay on the pallet for ages.. Can't wait to come back for an evening meal.. This place is an absolute must for people who enjoy quality food

It would be very difficult to find a fault with this place, great staff, fantastic food served beautifully. The Barn is off the beaten track but well worth seeking out.

We had a free day, and decided to go for lunch, what a gem of a place, well worth the journey. Jenni (our trainee waitress) Was absolutely amazing,such a lovely lady. The food and service were outstanding, we were made to feel very special. Not often I go somewhere and book a table in advance for our next visit. This time I did, and I'm looking forward to it already.

Had a really wonderful meal at The Barn @ Pod Shavers. Every bite was delicious and the staff were warm, friendly and attentive. They also go above and beyond in delivering perfect service, I made a last minute request for a birthday cake which they did an absolutely amazing job on (as the pics show) - it was really scrummy too!Strongly recommend residents of Taunton & Bishop's Lydeard to take advantage of this wonderful gem of a restaurant!

Had a really lovely 3 course Sunday lunch here while visiting relatives. The decor is outstanding, the atmosphere really lovely, the service relaxed yet attentive, and the food was excellent. The presentation was wonderful and the flavours rich and everything extremely well cooked. Highly recommend The Barn if you want a friendly, relaxed and classy yet affordable meal out.
