Lovely old hostelry located in Crowcombe village, in the middle of the Somerset countryside. An idyllic setting, friendly staff, & perfect location for attendance of family wedding in nearby Crowcombe Court .

Made very welcome by managers Ben & Tanya who seem to be developing the inn to its full potential. Traditional bar plus skittle alley plus restaurant plus beer garden. Stayed on Friday Steak Night. Good range of steak meals of good quality, plus reasonable range of other quality pub meals. At least five draught local beers, plus a few others and ciders too.Bedroom (5) was cosy and clean with en suite bath / shower, toilet and washbasin.Full English breakfast plus cereal, toast etc for £10.Ben & Tanya and team made every effort to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Good buzz in both the bar and the restaurant.

Great stay! Lovely staff, comfy bed. The full English breakfast was delicious. I can definitely recommend.

Great pub! Always a friendly face behind the bar. Good selection of ales and the food is superb and good value. (Breakfast is definitely worth booking!)

·

Lovely country pub. Very friendly and welcoming staff and great Skittles alley. Highly recommend.

21st Century country company and humour set in a medieval architecture. Glorious imbalance seemingly, with thoughtfully prepared foods under new management. Brilliant!

We were a party of 7 going to a funeral. They laid on an excellent buffet by prior arrangement as it was the Chef's day off.

Why is there a picture of Dunster Yarn Market here? Anyway, The Carew. Arms is an exceptional and very old traditional Somerset country pub. Good local cider and ale and of course a hearty dining experience right at the foot of the Quantock hills. These folks know how to make it cosy in there.

The pub was really busy, but saying that, the staff was so organised and helpful that we felt we was the only party there! Food was great, atmosphere was fantastic and so were the team running it on that night. Certainly be coming back.

Me and the family went for a meal and it was lovely! The new owners were just finding their feet, learning the menu and adjusting to the new pub but we were made to feel very welcome and we were well informed of everything on the menu. The Food was absolutely beautiful, wait time was very reasonable and the service was excellent. If we are ever nearby again I’m sure we will revisit. They told us they would be making some exciting changes as they take over and I wish them all the best in their new venture. Thanks very much.
