The Globe in Taunton Deane

A very scrumptious roast dinner was served to us for Sunday lunch. A warm apple crumble is served with vanilla ice cream. Absolutely delicious!!!I would like to say a big thank you to a chef- the invisible hero of our Sunday.The staff is young, adorable , lovely, attentive and very polite , courteous.Atmosphere was pleasant. We felt very comfortable. A realy warm welcome we had from the father of the owner. What a charming, friendly gentleman he is!We will be back.

Lovely dinner, classic pub fayre, good quality food and good portion sizes at a sensible price. Had somehow lost our booking but fitted us in regardless, and nothing was too much trouble. Nice relaxing atmosphere.

We had the pleasure of 2 fantastic meals at The Globe during a weekend away for our friends 40th... a Friday night with one two many drinks and a slightly fragile Sunday Lunch. Adele and her team could not have done more for us. The food was delicious 😋 and even being a large table of 14 ladies everything was faultless. Many of us work or have worked in luxury travel and the service we recieved could rival many a 5 star hotel...warm, welcoming, professional, friendly...Adele went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time and that we did. We cannot thank you enough for being such a big part of making our weekend fabulous ❤ if you are in the area make sure you try a meal at The Globe, you will not be disappointed

The most delicious and well organised buffet lunch was provided for a gathering of friends in a private party for a celebration of a friends life, I can recommend The Globe in all ways for helping to make this day go so well.

Visiting the Globe Inn is like revisiting family after being away a while. Same atmosphere of welcome, staff simply wonderful, food is a symphony of mind blowing flavours that accompany you home with your smile and forever memories.Many past visits with family and different friends to this alternate heaven set in Somerset’s flowing countryside, is a timepiece of my life events.On Saturday 12th June I had the Gloucester Old Spot slow cooked belly of pork, their signature dish, and so it should be. Every mouthful is a journey into bliss, as it always has been. Julie had the Sea Bass on Potato Rosti which she absolutely adored, and Shane had the Globe Burger with a side of coleslaw which he thoroughly enjoyed, too.A family get together at a family pub, with what can only be described as good old fashioned home made delicious food presented with a twist of magic. Great food and service in a country setting. Not much parking out the front, but lots on the streets and a small car park 2 minutes away. The pork belly is the dish to go for

This pub a little gem in a small village on the outskirts of Taunton. Cosy atmosphere with a great selection of local ales and cider as well as the popular lagers. The food is of particular mention due to the excellent use of local ingredients and family recipes such as "Mother-in-law's Meringue with Raspberry Coulis". Mark and Adele have created a menu with some locally sourced meat and veg. Many options too for vegetarian and vegan diets. The staff are friendly, attentive and made us feel very welcome considering we were a large family group of 13 with children of all ages. Highly recommend you pay a visit if you happen to be in the area.

Average pub food but nothing to shout about. The homemade burger I had was tasty but a little underdone. Regular pub menu including fish and chips, steaks, ham and egg, as you'd expect. Good service and nice atmosphere in a small village near Wellington.
