The Iron Duke JDW in Taunton Deane

Foods always a hit or miss. Unfortunately a miss yesterday the steak was ok bit chewy bit I definitely got served the afternoons onion rings 🤢

Ordered drinks and food via the app at table: worked well with minimal wait. Reasonable portion sizes. Desserts (eg ice cream and brownie ) are probably over-sized! Friendly service. Good selection of drinks. Excellent value for money overall. Menu mind-blowingly complicated to decifer!

Popped in for a curry. What a disaster!!Bringing it to the table naan bread and poppadom fell on the floor (it happens). Was brought out a replacement. Naan bread was undercooked and soggy. Was about to say when the onion bhajis were brought over, burnt, so I complained about them instead. Again a replacement was brought out just as burnt as the last ones!! At this point I thought just eat the curry. Lukewarm!!!!!! Total disaster from start to finish. I know it's cheap and cheerful food but seriously!!!! Front of house staff were good but cook needs to be retrained in microwaving and frying.

One of the best weatherspoons pub. Surprise but the food was hot not like some of the others in this group. Id also like to say what lovely polite waiter staff and the pubs atmosphere was calming as well. Deffo will be going back

Brilliant easy to order fairly quick as well. Very tasty food will go again Lots of nooks and crannys and an upstairs.

Had a nice meal with my Daughter, steak and salad. She had pasta. We both enjoyed it. We were upstairs as it was busy and staff were pleasant. I like the Iron Duke, its the cleanest "spoons" I've ever been to.

Really enjoyed my visit, staff really friendly, big shout out to Alex. Food & drinks reasonable. Clean & tidy surroundings 👍

Lets just say the chicken was cooked to perfection. :) However , the cole slaw was not so good.Was a bit crowded. The app to order was giving a bit of trouble and our order had to be placed at the bar. I don't do crowds so i think choosing a day other than Friday night might be better lol. I will give them another chance. ;)

We go here for breakfast whilst one of my children swims early on a Sunday morning. The staff are unfailingly lovely, the food cheap but tasty, with a great range of meat and meat free breakfast options and bottomless got chocolate! They provide a carry out box for my swimmer's post exercise bacon butty, and we always leave happy and satisfied. What not to like!?

Nothing beats a local Spoons and that's no different in Wellington. My family are regulars which is as a result of a friendly team, particularly Caitlyn who always finds a moment to stop and chat. Service is efficient and food is never below standard. A great local pub if your in the Welly area.
