Fantastic Sunday lunch, 3 carvery and 1 vegetarian. Well cooked meat and lovely choice of fresh vegetables. The puddings were yummy. Attentive and friendly staff. Highly recommended if your in the area.

Cosy country pub with traditional pub food and the odd little extra. Found the service to be first class although the time between finishing starter and main arriving was very short (some may like this). Food was well cooked, would recommend it for a nice pub meal at reasonable prices.

We visited this place for Mother's day and had the carvery which is served from 12-8pm on a Sunday. Happy friendly staff, clean and welcoming restaurant, and lovely food, well done all

Evening meal with friends. Lovely bar and waiting staff. Good choice of food on general menu. Had not realised there was also a specials board. Was very busy so booking would be recommended.

We had high hopes, having read reviews, but unfortunately we were disappointed with our meals. The vegan burger stack was really greasy. The lasagne was OK. We wouldn't go back as there are better places locally. We did see the sign saying they needed a new chef and can only put it down to that.

Very good food with generous portions. Staff very helpful and quick to serve. No face masks for staff . Plenty of hand sanitisers

First visit to The Maypole for Mother’s Day . We had a table of 8 . Some had carvery and some chose from the menu . All was lovely and reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and it was all well organised.

We had a family meal here on Saturday the 10th of November for 10 of us.. we had 2 vegans in our party, there was some confusion with some items being out of stock, but the staff were courteous, helpful and knew the menu well and our vegan, family members were sorted brilliantly. The service was warm, friendly and the food was, we all agreed, delicious and fresh. The belly pork, the Salmon, the lamb shank, the cheeseburgers all fantastic, the vegetables cooked just right, with a slight bite to them and the chips were crispy and chunky.. I highly rate the staff, service and the food..

Stopped in today for a quick lunch. Even though it's Xmas and a busy period, they staff still managed to find a little table for me. Food is always amazing and staff so friendly.Highly recommended. A+++

Staff were super friendly. Quick service, attentive. Food was INCREDIBLE, so many homemade elements. Burger is HUGE! Would definitely recommend no starters if you're picking this bad boy.
