Superb food, the serviced was first class and as it should be(there when you want them and not hovering or pestering). Would definitely go back. Thank you

What a revelation this pub is. We found it by chance on Google, when looking for somewhere to stop for lunch near M5 en route to Cornwall. Anywhere that has such a welcome for dogs in the entrance gets my thumbs up. Our dogs were very happy to be greeted with treats and water. Plenty of spacious comfortable seating and lots of room for our two large dogs to spread out. Loved the old traditional decor inside. Food and drink, while not the cheapest, is very well cooked and great quality. We had a lovely relaxing lunch after a long drive and will definitely have this lovely pub on our radar as we travel this route often.

This was our 3 rd visit and had taken friends there this time. Our meal was only warm and we really should have sent it back. We did mention this when paying bill. Apparently a door is open in the kitchen which would have cooled food! We will go again as it is a really nice pub but will send the food back if not hot.

We went to the New Mill last night for a Birthday meal (pre booked), on arrival we were taken to a table in the corner of the bar after watching the waitress brush the last persons crumbs away with her hand (nice). Could barely hear my wife with the TV and the drinkers around us. Not what you would call romantic! Asked to be moved into what was a nearly empty dinning area. She said she would have to check. Managed to "fit" us in. No Roast Dinner or Pizza (i.e. limited menu). Waitress was just rude and extremely unwelcoming. We ended up leaving 5 minutes later. Managed to get a walk in table at Zizzi, WHAT A DIFFERENCE, it was lovely!!!! Don't waste your money, shame because it is meant to be our local.

Excellent service, was asked about food allergies before ordering. (As someone who suffers fatal allergies to crustaceans, molluscs and all seafood, this was welcomed). Food was delicious. Warm, welcoming and dog friendly. A wonderful experience all round.

Had a lovely time here over a few drinks before the rugby. The table service was excellent and the drinks were tasty. Highly recommended!

Poor service. I've been to plenty of Vintage Inns and so far have never had an issue. The member of staff with pink hair was the particular problem and I will be making a formal complaint both to her manager and to the company as a whole. They say they are a pet friendly pub, but not really. There is no exclusion as to species and with this place in particular, unless you have a dog you're out of luck. They discriminate and I would like to stress that this is the ONLY vintage Inn or pet friendly pub I've ever had an issue with. Places that 9nly accept dogs label themselves as dog friendly not otherwise. Before going in, my husband double checked they are indeed pet friendly. We went in and sat at a table only after settling in, the same person who said they're pet friendly, to tell us to have to go and they only accept dogs. If that was the case the pub should claim it is dog friendly only not pet friendly. I'll be writing to the company today.

Amazing food, amazing location, amazing staff! After a 4 hour drive, we found this gem by chance, after being turned away from 2 other mainstream restaurants, booked online easily,Friendly staff, service fab, food was super tadty and piping hot. Cleaned our plates...We had lasagne, house burger, fish and chips and the kids pasta. Not one negative. Xxx
