It's a JDW pub, so you know what to expect. A great breakfast. And some good ales/ cider

Haven't been here for a while but truth is I had the best meal I've had for a long time. Was genuinely 👌 💯

We love this place. It is SO spacious & friendly. It's not so compacted like other Wetherspoons. Enjoy it every time we go there...👍👍

Cheap beer and during a small real ale festival so some interesting ales. Fine if youre out with a big group of friends or just having a quick catch up!

Longest pub I've ever been in, lots of history on the walls, nice decor and all the usual Wetherspoon bargains. Parking is the the only negative but if your shopping in the centre then this is a gem to find rest and refreshments . Friendly service too.

You know what you're getting with Wetherspoons, which is why we keep going back. Amazing breakfasts, including black pudding, and a free drink for less than £6, and the opportunity to get a pint if you so wish. What more could you wish for? Well, actually, I don't want alcohol at 10am, so perhaps there's a non alcoholic beer instead? There's not one, but nine different types of 0% alcohol beers and ciders, not to mention alcohol free wine. The food portions are enormous, and tasty and there are plenty of condiments to go with them. Staff are friendly, competent and efficient, and just get on with serving you quickly. For a large chain that clearly uses the low price high turnover business model, meaning everything saved is passed to the customer, for me it ticks all the boxes. If I was to ask for one improvement, it would be to sell pork scratchings, to go with my non alcoholic pint. Thanks Wetherspoons, you're great!

Still really dark in the building however have a new Open Plan kitchen new decked areas are a bonus. Food was what you expect from spoons value for money

Sadly this pub lets itself down purely and simply by too many chiefs and not enough Indians, suicide behind the bar at times, yet mountains of staff in and around the vicinity. Saturday afternoon and early evening particularly bad, the need to concentrate on serving the queues of people doesn’t seem to be a priority. Regularly an issue. Replenishing glasses does. Damn shame in a nice pub, let down by sloppy service and too many ‘shift mgrs’ and ‘team leaders’ etc. It’s Saturday evening again, the queues are building, 6 members of staff in and around the bar and only one serving! This pub seriously needs some bar tenders that serve waiting customers. It’s getting beyond a joke now on Saturday

Enjoyed a drink here with a friend before Christmas. Sat outside. Was clean, not too busy which was surprising for that time of year. Pleasant staff.

Certainly a large pub...with a lovely raised outdoor seating area. Also good to see that there is a policy of no smoking outside too.. Non smokers can now enjoy the outside space and eat without the experience ruined by smokers who saw it as "their space" .It's a Wetherspoons so has a great range of real ales, lagers wines and spirits. One of the plus points for Wetherspoons are they do take the trouble to source and stock local offerings. The food is reliable and reasonably priced.Range is good with vegetarian options.Menus display the calories which is helpful if you are watching the calories.
